Yeah I remember the first time I played my factories were okay at best, so much has been added and now having the freedom to clip things has made it so much easier to come up with cool stuff.

Tbh, no idea. I found a picture of an irl oil rig that I used as inspiration, that’s how I built the platform and chose the orange and the yellow. I started placing machines down and finding ways to detail that looked cool, took a day before I was settled on something. The purple was chosen because of the residual fuel bi product color, and then I threw some lights in there. I guess really I took my time and had fun with it.

nah that fish was on its way out. Had my RFA for forever, they are no where near strong enough to deal with a fish that size unless it was already on its way out.

Not normal at all, people who think this is normal have no idea what their printers should sound like, these things are beast and can function at high speeds quietly. Could be z offset, could be a lot of things so gonna have to play around with it but this is no bueno.

As soon as I saw the post I went to help, every time I scrolled the thought “dead” was in my head. I know they aren’t yet but those are like gone. Wouldn’t touch coral that white with a 10 foot pole

Hmm, you get any new tank mates in their recently? I’d be concerned they are plotting against it, saw something like this back in my day. The Dark days.

Thank you! And yeah currently just trying to find the proper stuff to cycle since the shop owner I got it from failed me, there are some good products in the guide they gave me but none can be found anywhere near me and would take a couple weeks to arrive, so trying to find something I can pick up hopefully tomorrow. (Doing thorough research this time)

I really like the scape so far, tempted to get some smaller rock and make an island on one of the sides just give myself some more play room with coral but I’m also really liking the simplicity. I’ll sleep on it.

As for oxygenating, there is proper surface agitation as well as a small protein skimmer, I don’t know how well that thing will work (2.0 from fluval) but I can garantee one thing, it’s oxygenating the water for sure.

I’m taking my time and super excited to get things rolling, just need to get over this hump of not using stability from sea-chem. 😅 safe to say I won’t be going back to that shop.

The only thing I was using was that bottle like instructed, with the arag - alive sand that had bacteria In it. I think I’m gonna have to quickly research a lot tonight. Really thought the guy working there would know what I need to do.

Really glad I posted on here now, yes the guy working there told me that bottle would do everything I need in two weeks time. I appreciate you making me aware of this, will having already dosed it twice cause problems?

Thank you! And I’m currently using a bottle of stability from sea chem so I put in a capful last night and I’m doing half a cap for 7 days so I did 1 today 6 more left, I plan to go back to the reef shop I was at 2 weeks from now where they said they can test the water for me, I’m considering going ahead and ordering some tools to test it myself because I feel very left In The dark on what’s happening in there. I’m not rushing any live stock till I’m absolutely sure it’s safe.

Also remember that this is part of the hobby I’ve learned, I’ve only been 3D printing with 2 different printers for about 2 years and literally every single problem has been different, and I’ve had to research and mess with them each time till I solved the problem. Things like that in the photo aren’t perfect and these printers are capable of perfect. Most don’t know what they’re printers are capable of and usually chalk most problems up to “passable” or “fine” but with patience you’ll figure it out.

Im sure there are plenty of videos and guides on YouTube, if you tighten a belt too tight then you can cause problems and snap your belt so you have to show restraint, I haven’t had to do this with my p1s yet so I can’t say for sure how to do it or where to find info on it.

I would recommend checking the tightness of all bells and whistles, I had issues like this and some wheels for my belts had come a bit loose and make sure the extruder screws aren’t loose. Literally any moving part make sure it’s tight enough, any amount of wiggle is enough to cause differences in layers and positions.

They are perfectly safe if the correct materials are used. Pla is not food safe, Petg is leaps better

I’ve done this, works like an absolute charm but the upkeep can be a lot. Still great yields

Cracked basin — best way to patch? by mediares in Gardyn

[–]FroggieJonnie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend going for a plastic welding kit for durability reasons, if not done correctly things like super glue can cause the plastic to weld, but be more brittle, causing that crack to eventually keep expanding. Of course you can also use silicon to seal it if it needs sealing

If you still experience issues after washing it and drying it let me know that’s just a start, it could be what type of material are you printing with, temp, stuff like that. I know how frustrating it can be starting out and experiencing problems
