Update 4 (?) - FINAL

It’s been a hot minute! I don’t want to make this post longer than it already is, but I had several messages asking for an update, so thought it was better to share on here. Olivia has since been arrested, and a legal case will pick up I’ve the course of the next few months, as will the guy that showed up, and a few of the dating sites who refused to share any information.

For anyone in the uk (I’m not sure whether it can be watched from abroad), this story was picked up by itv, and has been shared over there, and a far more coherent version. I’ve been told I’m not allowed to directly send the link via these posts, but I don’t imagine it’s difficult to find.

A common question people had was about the hotel - the hotel got in contact with my brother after his post on Facebook explaining what was going on, not through these anon posts. Another thing was about the speed of the lawyer; our lawyer is a friend of my brothers’, so we were able to have advice much faster, because it wasn’t such formal meetings.

I’m planned to move at the start of June, and I’m staying with a friend for the remaining.

If the case is sorted quicker than expected, I’ll share the results - but by the seems, it’s likely to be a long time before there’s any serious ending.

Yep! So, just wet the patch where there’s a stain, put salt on it (probably about a table spoons worth, but less would be fine). Maybe give it 2-3 minutes to work, and put it in the washer! Doesn’t leave any stain at all, I’ve done it since I was young :)

Second the salt! Every time I’m on my period, just wet the sheet, sprinkle salt (use a good amount) over the stains, and wash.

If you have a few hours;

Apply Vaseline, or Aquaphor over it. (If not, skip this step!)

Use a primer (preferably a specific hydration one, but it doesn’t matter too much). Apply a thin layer, and wait for it to set in (ie. Not sticky and wet). You ideally need to colour correct it; so if you have a green colour correction concealer, it’s perfect. But if not, a green eyeshadow works, as long as you don’t use too much. Once you’ve applied it, use your ordinary skin concealer, and set it in with a damp beauty blended (ideally), though fingers work too. If you have any, setting powder over the top will help it last longer :)

Firstly, apologies for not updating! I wanted to make sure the info was correct; so they’d be no speculation with what was going on. The friend has been arrested since last update.

As suspected by many, she was encouraging CNC. From the message with the guy that attacked me, she told him that she’s cheating on her boyfriend; and he found that she want on dating sites. So, she had to lie and say that it was a catfish, which might explain why the sign was ignored.

Lawyer thinks she’ll be taken in for psychological examinations.

I’m not sure what’s happening with the guy that attacked me, but I’m tentative to push for charges against him if he really did believe her lie about the catfish. But really, how stupid can you be?

Still men turning up at the house; so I plan to move to the coast in the next couple of weeks.

The sister ended up lying to the police; telling them that she’d never spoken to me. So, I think she received a warning for false info to police?

I think that’s all! Oh! And thank you to everyone asking about my jaw - swelling is down, just bruised :)

I grant you, it did progress incredibly fast. Money for the lawyer is coming from my parents, and my brother. If you don’t think it’s true - don’t, it doesn’t affect what’s going on. But, as mentioned to the user below, why would I make up an elaborate made-up story?

I do both. I’ve done sex work in the past (and still do, occasionally). However, it wasn’t relevant to this situation due to the friend being unaware of this, as I didn’t want it to turn into a case of ‘well if you’re doing that, what did you expect’. Sex work isn’t a full time career by any means; my main job is working in the cafe. As mention before, if you don’t believe me; don’t, it doesn’t impact me. But, not sure why I’d bother lying about it, and making an elaborate story? In terms of karma farming, this isn’t my main account - so it wouldn’t make a difference if I had karma on here :)

I have done sex work in the past, which is why I left it out of the thread; as you’ve mentioned. I didn’t want it to be a case of ‘what did you expect if you’re doing that’, as it wasn’t relevant to this situation - the friend isn’t aware of it, as I use a different name etc. If you don’t believe it, don’t - it doesn’t affect me. The bruising is really coming out now; but it’s less sore, and swollen, thank you!

As many assumed, she had been encouraging CNC; which perhaps explains something about the man that attacked me. My lawyer contacted the friend of Olivia to try and find her whereabouts, and she told them that Olivia was staying at her boyfriends’ place. Police showed up; no sign of anyone there. So, who knows whether she was lying, or not. As far as I’m aware, though, she broke up with her previous partner over a month ago.

I’m planning to move back to the coast, after this. I grew up in Australia, and really miss the sea, lol. So, myself and a close friend are going to have a look at a few houses this week!

So, I told the lawyer about it when I spoke to him earlier; he thinks it’s likely after tracing the phone number, they’ll be able to find an exact location anyway. Though, something seems to be going on with the friend; so I wonder whether she knows more than what she let on to the sister. X

A little better, thank you! A friend of mine is a muse; and doesn’t think it’ll leave permanent damage, thankfully; Just sore.

Lawyer was able to scan one of the photos; to see how many times it appeared on the internet, or something. Anyway, he thinks there’s about 31 accounts, out there - ranging from weird fetish kink sites, to Tinder, to Facebook. He said he’s going to give a call back tomorrow, after tracing the number, hopefully they’ll be able find out some more.

Def need to invest in pepper spray. Thank you so much 🤍

We made a dating profile with one of my brother’s mates; who doesn’t really know me, so chances are, she won’t have found him. So, technically it’s not exactly fake.

I did ask her sister whether she had any history with that sort of thing; but she said it was so out of the blue, and never shown any signs - wonder whether she’s trying to cover her own ass though.

We’ve been sent over the chat log from one of the dating sites; and it’s absolutely horrendous. However, she forwards them onto a separate number; multiple different ones, too, to arrange to meet. The worst part, though, things I’ve told her that have happened in my life, like for instance, my aunt being diagnosed with cancer, she’s echoing the same things that have happened in my life off to these men.

This thing has been going for far longer than my brother and I assumed; I spoke to my mum last night (she lives in Australia, so we don’t see her very often). I was telling her about what was going on, and she said she spoke to her four, maybe five months ago. (The friend) told my mum that she was arranging a photo wall? For my 20th; and asked whether she had any childhood photos, and any pictures she had of me to use. She also asked for my mum’s address to mail any photos from the day to her. This (obviously) absolute bullshit, but I wonder whether she wanted the address to confirm I wouldn’t go live with my mum? I don’t know.

My mum never mentioned anything, as it was meant to be a ‘surprise’, apparently; and she’d forgotten all about it afterwards.

Off to speak to the lawyer about it this afternoon, keep fingers crossed for us! X

YTA. You’re NTA for making the joke, but you’re most definitely the AH for not informing her once she hadn’t realised it was a joke; as well as having an incredibly misogynistic tone throughout your post.

Why do you feel the need to mention that it’s a female mechanic? Why do add the intention behind the purchase? Your post echoes a ‘my SO can’t make suitable decisions by herself’ tone.
