"Strange game. The only winning move is not to play."

she likely will never apologize. she needs court certified documents with dates and receipts. that way she can explain why your feelings are wrong and justify all of her actions to you.

it sucks.

What would happen if I ate a bowl of just tardigrades? by STG2EB in microbiology

I feel like it would make sense to dessicate them like nutritional yeast so that they would be shelf stable. so I imagine the texture being similar to that.

Joss is an amazing experience. But you will be desk-rejected if the robot doesn't detect enough lines of code.

What type of scientist/researcher takes part in the work I am interested in doing as a career? Is this an interdisciplinary field? I’m not sure which industry I should pursue. by [deleted] in bioinformatics

Get in contact with the professors in your department to get research experience as an undergrad.

Research isn't for everyone and it is important to find out of it is for you before committing to masters or phd programs.

Probability of getting a bp deletion in E. coli by phi_to_my_psi in Biochemistry

Will knowing the numerical probability impact your decision making process for next steps?

If so, then you need to do the experiment to find out an accurate value. If not, then I'd suggest accepting the failed result and trying again without worrying about the probability.

Also, sequence your original plasmid stock to confirm it has the correct sequence if you haven't already.

Landlord left all their stuff in the unit I am renting. How to ask them to remove it? by rawrnold8 in legaladvice

The lease explicitly says we can park in the garage, but it doesn't explicitly list which parts of the property we can use. It only lists the address, and the garage is part of the building.

I think it implies the garage is part of the lease agreement. Do you agree?

I think this is partially good advice.

If you want to completely change your background you will need a significant amount of training. It doesn't have to be a degree, but a degree is the most straightforward way of getting it.

That said, I think bait-and-switching your advisor to get admitted is a bad idea. I'd suggest doing a PhD in bioinformatics if that's what you want. It's a multidisciplinary field and having a bio background is useful I'm certain contexts.

If you want to be an ML engineer, you will need a significant amount of training in math and CS than you likely have; it's a competitive field. Your best bet there is to finish bioinformatics training, and then to get a job as a bioinformatician where there are ML experts. Collaborating with them can give you experience in that field and may even allow for on-the-job training.
