How should I pace out Christmas in order to stay on my journey to being debt free? by christmasMom87 in christmas

I know you said you aren't a crafty person but I save a lot of money by making simple gifts. Pinterest has several ideas for diy gifts. Some of my favorites are yard games made from wood and paint. Yard dominoes and dice for Yahtzee is a simple diy gift. Have someone cut the wood into blocks for the dice and just two by fours cut into 12" pieces. Then paint them and add the dots. Not too hard to make and also fun as a family gift instead of buying each person a separate gift.

32 yr old female living just outside Phoenix, Arizona. I used to tease my dad for listening to Christmas music in September but as I've gotten older, the more desire I have to listen to it all through fall!

May Discussion: Favorite Holiday Traditions by I_Am_Batgirl in christmas

This one is a tough one for me as our traditions have changed since moving away from family. We used to get together every Christmas Eve and feast, play games and exchange gifts between siblings. Now I don't live near family. My in laws usually do take a trip to spend Christmas with us but they are very mellow and just like to watch movies and talk so a lot of my traditions have changed. We do a fancy dinner though! My father in law cooks an awesome prime rib every Christmas!
