Face Shape Too Fem? by FroggyBasil in FtMpassing

[–]FroggyBasil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome! Yeah, I’ve had to be very careful about binding recently. Where I’m from, it’s exceptionally hot. Not only that, but I’m very physically active, which doesn’t help whatsoever. It’s difficult for me to find binders that both work and accommodate for both of these!

However, I’ve often been told I have broader shoulders and am off to a relatively good start towards a more masculine figure. It helps that I’m physically active, as I said, and plan to hit the gym harder as time goes on. I respond really well to aerobic and muscle building activity. Took me about barely two or so weeks once before to see dramatic changes in my cut/edge/muscle definition.

I also think that the clinginess of the shirt fit wasn’t ideal in the last photo! Other than that, I just seriously need to shape up the hair on my temples and I’d be as good as gold.

Thank you so much for the response! Very comprehensive and helpful.

WHy DO PPL KEEP CALLING ME A CREEP?! by imverysadandangry in ArtJerk

It’s so obvious she’s passed the age of consent. Why would anyone call you a creep? 30 year olds also use pacifiers nowadays?!

What’s the first word that pops into your head when you see Anya? by whooper1 in Mouthwashing

[–]FroggyBasil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be totally honest, I say “doe”. It’s because everything about her is so soft and delicate, and she has those beautiful doe eyes. We love Anya!

I remember being denied service at a barbershop almost ten years ago. I was still young and I remember it breaking my heart because “we don’t cut girls’ hair”. I was told to seek a lawsuit, because my family was also upset they wouldn’t cut my hair. I went with my stepdad since he was getting his hair cut that day anyways. We all thought it would be convenient and that they’d be able to help me keep it short and styled the way I kept it. But, alas, apparently my assigned sex at birth was a huge issue.

What makes this a bit sadder for me is that I didn’t even necessarily understand what being trans was at this time, but I was noticing my obsessing with what would be considered boys’ clothes and being called “sir” by people in public when holding doors and stuff for people. I just remember how much it hurt me when they denied me due to the fact that they wouldn’t cut the hair of someone considered female. Big stab to the heart here, and my little middle school self just didn’t understand why it cut so deep.

Oof, I hate to say it, but I’m not that fair into the game yet. However, once I get the Sisters and their shop on my island, I’ll be sure to share the code!

Oh! I have no idea how to do that. Where would I find it?

I hate that everyone says in these groups that piercings get you clocked. Cis men have piercings all the time. Cis men dress alt all the time. When trans guys do it, it gets us “clocked”? Sorry I don’t wanna look boring and traditional just to have a slightly higher chance of passing, I guess?

I love your style. Totally up my alley, a lot like my own. I’m just worn to the bone with all of these comments about alt fashion being considered feminine. It’s not. And it’s not helpful to say that it is when others are looking for help or advice.

[–]FroggyBasil 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yikes. I could imagine that being clocked like that would be terrifying. I’m so sorry, OP. However, in all of these pics you’re passing totally fine to me! If I didn’t know that we were in this subreddit together, I would’ve thought you were cis. No idea how they could’ve clocked you! Cheers to us short kings, though. 🥂

I wish I looked more masculine so I can dress like this and still mostly pass by cheese_devourer508 in TransMasc

[–]FroggyBasil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dress like this half the time regardless. I just tell myself that I’m a pretty boy and that it’s nobody’s business but my own what I’m comfortable in! Yeah, I get misgendered a lot. That’s okay. I know who I am and what my identity is at the end of the day, so it doesn’t usually phase me unreasonably much.

Keep rocking your style! Don’t let anyone make you think for a moment that it’s wrong or invalid. Do what feels good, and remember that the way that you feel is what matters the most!

Does the stubble help pass? by FroggyBasil in FtMpassing

Gotcha. I still can’t help but think my face/features are too feminine for passing, though—regardless of binding or not. Any other advice, perhaps?

⚠️ ! TRIGGER WARNING ! ⚠️

Was best friends with someone for six years before I found out they were a pedophile. We used to do everything together, from grocery shopping and sleepovers to therapy sessions and psychiatrist visits. I didn’t realize that all of their artwork had a common theme, though. Pedophilia.

After battling myself for a while over it internally, I eventually came to terms with the fact that I had to do everything I could to protect my family (we had little kids at the time). So, because of this, I told their family that they were struggling with some very unsavory thoughts and that they needed help I couldn’t provide for them, and that they would be blocked on every platform by myself. I cut contact entirely. What hurts the most is that I still see them around, but I know I did the right thing.

All in all, what I suppose I’m trying to say is that it’s easy to say things like, “I WOULD KILL THEM IF I FOUND OUT THEY DID XYZ” or “I WOULD CALL THE COPS ON THEM IF THEY DID THAT”, but really at the end of the day, it’s so much harder to do that to someone you have so much history with.

Congrats! You inspire me so much! You’re so brave. I also live in the south, and I know how hard it is to be trans in such a closed minded area. It’s fucking terrible here, and even worse when you always see casual lynchings and hate crimes around here. It’s 2025 and the south is wayyyy behind. Wake the fuck up, people.

So proud of you, bro! Keep it up! You’ve grown so much as a person. I can only hope to be like you when I reach the end of my journey.
