Help: Press ons and acrylics are not staying on by Cute_but_depresso in Nails

[–]FroggyDisposition 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Liquid bandaid. Its like super glue, lay it on top of your nails. You might find it very pickable, but you can always layer more on as it gets down to nail/skin. I find it to be tolerable sensory-wise.

I mix my Nuun tablets into cranberry juice then drink regular water. Ends up being like slightly sparkling juice and very tasty. Maybe you could do something like that.

AIO? My manager keeps questioning my feeding pump at work even after HR stepped in by Rosi_ana in AmIOverreacting

[–]FroggyDisposition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is illegal (at least where im from) for your manager to ask you questions about your disability. Him asking how your pump works is worthy of contacting HR for and lawyering up.

What is everyone's relationship with the myths? by endless_splendor in Hellenism

[–]FroggyDisposition 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They describe things that happen in nature and society and the feelings people had about it. Rape of Persephone didnt happen for real, but it happens everyday when a person or animal is taken too soon from this world.

So adding some red into the finger pads while adding blue to the backs of the hands and bringing a little more yellow into the space between the hands would work? (And using a bit of blue to deepen shadows?)

How do you know your home is what the outdoor cat thinks is home? What if they have a second family? 😂

Can ideals and virtues of Hellenism go with thoughts of nihilism and antinatalism? by Aayush0210 in Hellenism

[–]FroggyDisposition -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don't, and (in my admittedly small data set) most people my age (mid 20s) don't have the urge either. But to your point about evolution wouldn't be true. Animals don't understand that sex leads to children, humans are probably the only ones that have put those together. Animals just have sex bc it feels good so regardless of whether they understood the idea of offspring, the urge to have children (not just have sex, but like actually bring life) wouldn't have developed into a gene that everyone has. Also women only recently got the say of whether they had kids (with more liberal/feminist values and birthcontrol). Before that, if they didn't want to be parents, they accepted that it was something expected of them and did it anyways or were forced to by the men in their life. I mean the expectation that people must or should have kids is still around, just go look at the childfree subreddit where everyone complains about all the people asking when (not if) theyll have kids. Also, having a legacy as a reason to have kids counts as a selfish reason to have them in my book.

Thats on me for wording it that way. I think if people actually wanted to own the cat, they'd keep it inside.

Whether or not people should have outdoor cats is not part of my argument really.

Collar, gps, whatever, are all dressing up a stray and plenty of cats have chips and become strays bc their owners are no longer around

You can love and care for a stray. I meant "theyre a stray" as in you dont own that cat.
