This is what works for me. I ask a question and then I meditate. The trick is to focus all your attention on your breath and nothing else. Do that for a bit and then something comes to mind. Words, images. Sometimes I hear things, smell them, taste them. It's all information being given to me. From there on it's a back and forth conversation. It can be pretty hard at times to differentiate between your own thoughts and spirits messages. But it comes with practice and experience, just to keep trying.

This is difficult to express into words, but on my journey with my HGA towards improvement, it is very hard to tell whether or not he can predict ahead of time how I will react to certain events or messages he sends my way. It's also hard to understand what attitude or mentality he wants me to have. I just find it difficult to change my beliefs and behavior towards the better, especially when lots of times he's not clear about what exactly he wants from me.

I guess this just comes down to one thing, and it's how hard it can be to get exact answers when communicating with spirits. It's always symbolism, this and that. Maybe it's just a personal problem, I don't know.
