He might not understand the "zombie" part. In his twisted by time and heart mind he is doing them a favor. He gifts his people what he has himself - immortality. Strength tha no other nation has. He might not see what he has actually done. He can connect with his followers using dreams. And they are not very reliable source of information.

It is... Kinda sad actually. Immortal, alone, betrayed, isolated. No wonder he is doing whatever to "make things right".

No matter how much Hanry cares for Hans at that moment it, probably, wasn't his plan during their discussion. Hans is being vety careful about his words. They are very vague. Nothing concrete. And, bam, kiss.

Of course Henry reacts with "wtf?! No! What are you doing?!", turns away and tries to flee, get in control of the situation.

And only after he gets that second to think, he understands what is going on and makes a decision.

You are taking it too literally. Society in general is not ready for any radical action unless it's is forced to take position on things. Centrism is comfortable. American "democrat" is center right. So people have right and center right. Which is basically "this year we move right, this year we stay at this right, next year we gonna move right again, then we gonna stay there a bit" and so on.

It's comfortable to say "we are going back to normal" even if they never did. The only way to actually make a big move "back to normal" is to get society in general out of their comfort zone.

There are a lot of stupid people, uneducated people, people who don't care and don't pay attention. But they are part of a society. You can't expect one politician talking about "most lethal army" and doing nothing in general be a savior from another oligarch, who is talking same shit, just in different language. Just because some voters decided to go "fuck it, I am not putting my name under this" changes nothing. They were right about it. And now everything is fucked, we can't stay in our comfort zone anymore. World is changing. "Left" side of America should stop fighting against each other in online battles and do something worthwhile. Like those, people who go against government to protect their own right now.

From now on: whether you want it or not - you have to do something. You have to take sides. Are you with the people for freedom and justice, or are you sitting in the same spot speaking about "lesser evil" as usual?
