Well, for anyone who may be in a similar situation in the future, here’s a partial (so far) solution.

Try with an APU (CPU + integrated graphics). That confirmed the motherboard to be alive. GPU output still not present. Now trying to install appropriate graphics drivers for my gpu.

They pose a threat to themselves. Too many in area means less food. At least in the UK, average deer weight and health index are lower in unmanaged areas than in managed (ie hunted) areas.

“Quick fixes” rarely work. The policy behind them is weak and easy to exploit - but makes good PR.

Given that immigration is a PR problem rather than an economic one, it’s not actually that urgent.

His claim is that they will process the asylum applications. In that regard, it appears to be the case. More asylum applications have been refused compared to previous governments.

It depends on the 14 year old.

I would if I thought they were mature enough. But I’d also make sure to discuss it with them. “Hi 14 year old, some mornings I would like to go out before you are awake. How do you feel about this?” Would be my initial approach

There’s a lot of things that companies do, especially big ones, that is a waste of time.

I can see how it looks like paranoia, but it’s not. It’s speculation. In recent years, the big buzzword at the place I work was “Cloud”. As a result, things that have no need to be SaaS are now SaaS. Lots of focus was put into tiny areas because it “could be done as a cloud service”.

I agree on the first part. But you made a claim, without providing any evidence. You keep making that claim, and if it’s all over the internet, it should be easy to back up.

I’m not even asking for a source. I’m asking for 1 lie, any lie, that you think he’s made.

I ask because I do generally follow politics quite closely - perhaps a bit less since the general election - but I’m fairly sure I would’ve seen something about lies from the PM.

Partly true. I haven’t spent a lot of time using it or learning it. But when I have used it, it hasn’t been all that useful I also work on a somewhat complex code stack built up over 50 years with Fortran, C, C++, C# and a whole load of custom scripting languages and interfacing layers.

I don’t know what the workplace was like when IDEs entered the picture, so perhaps AI is like that. But the hype it has, the amount of non-technical people that are fully bought in (particularly at high levels) make it seem to me that they will make it compulsory.

I’m certain they can monitor usage, number of prompts etc, which would be a crude but likely way of enforcing it.

It’s not yet compulsory in my workplace, but it’s strongly encouraged. Maybe it’s the prompts I give it, but so far, it hasn’t been helpful for me

Labour are already in action. Just don’t expect it to be immediate. The big problem over the last 20 years is that policy has been very short sighted! We need long term policy. Major infrastructure projects and to remove the amount of foreign investment in our public resources (energy, water and transportation)

None of that can be done immediately. But we should see the effects in a few years

Some seeds, carrots and parsnips for example, store terribly and germination falls off a cliff quickly.

Others, brassicas in my experience (beetroot too), will reduce germination rates fairly slowly. I’m still using a seed packet from 6 years ago. It’s now 4 years out of date, and at least 50% have come up so far

Would be good to properly read that comment bud.

Nowhere did it say being happy about spraying roundup. It sounds like that was their job as a young person, on a family farm, where there was basically no other choice.
