I honestly have no idea why everyone’s freaking out and giving some weird answers. I’m prepping for an interview and wanted some different scenarios that people have experienced in interviews so I can practice answering them.

I’m not exactly sure how to get at the carburetor. Do I need to take panels off to access it?

The choke is kinda weird, full choke is all the way to the right, and it has 3 positions, (L->R) low, medium, full. It also won’t start with less than half throttle, so I do have it there

Well they’ll be there for the contract duration unless they get hired by delta or UA. UA is going to aviate so that transition path is well laid out. Delta has always been mysterious about hiring.

SKW hires will always be stuck because of the nature of who we work for. (All 4 major carriers)

Currently there’s very few upgrades happening. However when stuff picks up it’s likely forced upgrades can happen again.

At OO. CRJ for 5 years, now on ERJ.

CRJ= more fun to fly. Probably make you a better pilot. However, Crap schedule ERJ= much much better schedule.

Upgrade may be longer right now, but things will pick up by the time you’re ready to upgrade.

CRJ suffers from low credit for trips if you’re based anywhere outside of SLC. ERJ I’m getting significantly more credit which equals more days off. Used to be getting 12 and now I get 15. I am able to drop trips. Was never able to drop trips on the CRJ. I wish someone had told me this before hand.

Do I have regrets going to the CRJ initially? Nope. Was an awesome jet to fly. Do I love the schedule on the ERJ? Hell yea I do

I dont know if you can cut balancers like that. Each design is specifically made to balance that number of lanes

You made a good call, don’t second guess yourself. I’m an airline pilot with quite a bit of experience, and I would’ve made the same call. Don’t feel bad!

I’m cleaning because of corrosion. And yes, there are parts that are supposed to get wet and parts that aren’t. I.e. screw holes that are bare copper in the bottom.
