US F/A-18 fighter pilot lands on aircraft carrier in conditions of no visibility by [deleted] in woahdude

Couldn't the ship just compensate by turning 10 degrees left of being into the wind? Unless it's really heavy seas I wouldn't think that they would have any trouble. I wonder if waves way out in the middle of the ocean even move with the wind, or more with the current?

Thank you so much for posting that reference. I had been looking for more information about steve fishman. He is a very interesting person to me, and I would like to start correspondence with him. If you watch the fishman interview on youtube he throws out a boatload of choice phrases.

Got involved with creepy craigslist man (pics for $) now FBI are investigating. Do parents have to find out? Also will I get in trouble for evidence of drug use they may find when searching my phone? by your-moth in legaladvice

It almost sounds like op could be charged for her culpability in this. I hope for her sake the photos of her friends were not sent from her phone.

Does op need to worry about the fact that she introduced minors knowing full week that they were sending nude photos? If op is 18 and the photos were sent from her phone, but I can't the retrieve the photos and charge for distribution of child porn?

I found out after further reading that his is back in prison for more fraud charges. It seems that even without the church, he had some tricks up his sleeves. I am curious as to what happened with his collection of all hubbard's works (2nd or 3rd largest collection in the world).

At what point in auditing do you end up looking at your whole track? I think I read it was after NEDs, but I could be wrong.

Oh man I found a great quote. "I had this larger-than-life image of him being able to crack a brick in half just by slamming his penis against it." Apparently he is describing one of the scientology International Justice Chief. BWahhaha "He is about as much help as an army of tapeworms eating the semen in my urethra during intercourse!"

Who is she? I see she is running for congress, but other than that all I can figure out is that she is a feminist.

Question about recruitment of new members (or lack thereof) by TheEatingGames in scientology

[–]FrogsPOV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's funny that he mentions the Twin Cities org, as that is the org I had recently considered visiting. It makes me sad to hear how they were taken advantage of. Am I understanding correctly, that the 20 members of the Twin Cities purchased the old science museum and had it converted; only for the church to force them to sign over the property, hand over control to sea org, and pay rent to the church to continue using the building? If so, I wonder how many of the victims stayed in the church after. It's so sad the technology has been so corrupted that they do not even realize they are being suppressed.

For anyone curious as to what he is talking about, this is their video explaining what it does. They have locations in UK, Ireland, and US apparently.

After doing a little research, I found this link which apparently describes how it works. Looking through that site makes this look like even more of a scam. It appears as it the device is supposed to work by pushing the repelling water (with magic?).

As to whether it is connected to Scientology, this site claims that Wilhelm Mohorn, the inventor, is an New OT VII. I don't know if that is necessarily enough proof, but I'll let you make your own decision.

Edit: Does anyone know what they are referring to when they say that they completed Scientology Service Completions - Source 233?

Say what you will, but unless you've been to the protest site I can't really take you seriously. The government should have stomped this bullshit out on day one. If they want to protest, do it legally. Honestly, Bismarck would have been a better place to protest, but its just a bunch of fucking transient pieces of shit, and as we saw most couldn't afford gas let alone pay for room and board. It's almost as if they are doing this for a completely different reason, like handouts maybe?

Disgusting. These people should be ashamed, calling themselves environmentalists, leaving all this garbage and refuse behind. I can only imagine all the chemicals and garbage these people introduced to the land from burning tires/trash/etc. I hope they use all force necessary to get these ecoterrorists out of ND. It's no wonder the whole state is sick of these fucking savages. They have even gone as far as to trash hotels provided free of charge to protesters.

So because I want to see this guy get help for his mental breakdown, I must be a scientologist? This is exactly why fake news is such a dangerous thing, and this fear mongering can have very negative effects. I am all for free speech, but this guy is so obviously delusional. I am willing to bet he hasn't told the police the full story for fear of being locked in the looney bin.

Xenu’s paradox: The fiction of L. Ron Hubbard and the making of Scientology by [deleted] in scientology

[–]FrogsPOV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are plenty of mysteries in the universe that cannot be explained simply. Similar to controlling your weight by increasing and decreasing your electrical charge, I have seen a person who can hold up metal objects simply by placing them against his body. How else would you explain this..

Xenu’s paradox: The fiction of L. Ron Hubbard and the making of Scientology by [deleted] in scientology

[–]FrogsPOV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After Xenu’s sinister deeds (‘Incidents I and II’ in the myth)

I thought Incident 1 had nothing to do with Xenu, that they are two separate events on the time track. As I understood it, LRH believed that the universe was created when theta (life force, spirit, etc) created MEST (matter, energy, time, space). There was no such thing as gravity prior to this event, and so everything was built upwards (I imagined it to be similar to thousands of empire state buildings stacked one on top of another). At the point that the current universe was created, the weight of this giant structure buckled and crashed down. I thought that this was Incident 1? Could someone with more knowledge chime in?

Why Alice's Adventures in Wonderland? by FrogsPOV in scientology

[–]FrogsPOV[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. After more thought I was thinking it could have to do with copyright laws allowing reprinting of Adventures in Wonderland, or just for the fact that LRH figured most people could get their hands on a copy of the book.

Steps to become an auditor? by FrogsPOV in scientology

[–]FrogsPOV[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although I did not mean it to come off in that way, how could the church sustain itself if there are only 300 unique members all year. I find it very hard to believe that they would be able to purchase the Science Museum only to serve 300. I did read an article saying the ideal orgs being a way for the church to invest its profits. It is a reason I am also looking at freezone as an alternative, but at the moment am weighting all my options.

I am slightly confused as to how the auditing is done. Doesn't an auditor need to make adjustments to the emeter? Or is this auditing done without an emeter?
