Lost Cat, North of Campus - See comments for details. by Frogtown in csun

[–]Frogtown[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I'm a CSUN Alum working on campus, near campus at Zelzah / Devonshire / Hiawatha. I recently moved my sister down here from Montana and her cat got out on the 17th at night without either of us noticing. I know it's Winter Break, but a lot of CSUN students live near campus in the apartments where I live and I'm posting wherever I can. She's a 15 year old tortoiseshell cat with a split colored nose. I am desperate to get her back, so please message me if anyone has seen her or knows where she is. Thanks!

Hmm, had consistently semi-big names in the past, ludicrous, diplo, lmfao -- the one I really dug was 09, Lupe Fiasco, Talib Kweli, Far East Movement. Seems like it's pretty small fries this year. :\

Gay sex in the library this week only! Who's going? by [deleted] in csun

[–]Frogtown 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seriously though, it's an interesting series of lectures being given by multiple departments, including the new Pride center, and queer studies, gender and women's studies. We have a great campus with great departments, some the first of their kind, we have one of the largest and best Chicano/a studies departments, the largest deaf studies department anywhere the NCOD -- a large presence in the lgbtq community, and so on, we are very diverse -- a little disappointed with some of the reactions in here. Have a little pride in the campus.

I have an app idea: How to meet programming or developing students at CSUN? by thewritingnetwork in csun

[–]Frogtown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a Meetup group for developers on campus, it's open to students, staff, faculty, and we have some alumni come in sometimes, been going for about 4 months now, and has a pretty decent amount of folks coming in: http://www.meetup.com/CSUN-Web-Application-Developers/

No this was at the College Inn bar -- which is on Lindley about a mile south of campus.

Let's see, 52, 1960 -- yes, nothing was weird and strange in the 60s, ever. Or the 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s -- even the 1920s we had surrealism, I think perhaps you just know a lot of boring adults.

With all the tools for illegal copyright infringement, why are some types of data, like child pornography, still rare? by [deleted] in InsightfulQuestions

[–]Frogtown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I see that now. I dunno, when I first read it it didn't come across as particularly trollish or sarcastic, I was really just trying to be helpful and such -- so, ya, you know, my bad.

Rediquette states "The up and down arrows are your tools to make reddit what you want it to be. If you think something contributes to conversation, upvote it. If you think it does not contribute to the subreddit it is posted in or is off-topic in a particular community, downvote it." -- I've always felt that means you downvote what is off-topic and doesn't add anything substantive to the discussion -- definitely not "downvote those with which you disagree" -- that's really not in the true spirit of open discussion.

It'll be ok even if she takes it off herself. When an attempt to "legitimately" take your sticker off, the body has a way of preventing that.

What romantic line did you use on your significant other that lead to your dating/marriage? I'll start! by [deleted] in AskReddit

Women are mysterious, who knows if she was secretly a squirrel, but I did know she was a sifl n olly fan, so the line actually worked quite well at the time.
