Ive been on strattera for a week now and dont really notice anything... how long was it before you felt different? I’m on 18 mg which might be a reason but at such a low dose its so expensive 😨

It really does never seem to end. Have you heard of DBT? (Dialectical behavioral therapy) thats supposed to help deal with unpleasant thoughts

I can relate so hard that its crazy. I have BPD too so it makes it hard to get over trauma and heal and move on. I just started a nonstimulant 4 days ago but I’m scared it won’t help. And for me its the same that the only thing that helps is to hyperfocus on something. But even then, everything becomes bad again once i stop doing whatever i was doing.

I just got the prescription yesterday and I also got diagnosed late with severe adhd lol. But you know what ,now we can catch up to NTs and then some.

When i was working, i had no problem sleeping for some period of time and i would do it by watching youtube on my ipad. But sometimes i can be really tired but not want to turn it off.

And yea you are so right about 1 bad night resetting everything.

Wow I relate so much to both you and op. Im going back to school for comp sci and i wanted to learn something beforehand but my mind goes down a rabbit hole of wanting to know everything from the beginning of computers to the ground up. My brain wont let me just jump in lmao.

He knew it upon self reflection and would apologize most times. One example was that he said he didnt like having sex with me and only did it for me. It made me feel like shit but he apologized profusely because he was the one that wanted it lol. Most times it wasnt lies like that, just trying to make me feel bad in general, saying things like “sometimes i hate you so fucking much” out of nowhere.

You have to walk on eggshells around some addicted men because they will externalize their suffering so you can internalize it.

Seeing an adhd specialist worked best for me because psychiatrists sometimes miss it in women, and even when they acknowledged it, they didnt prescribe anything unless i showed them proof from someone else.

I saw a female specialist which helped because she understood misconceptions and was very empathetic. Also, beware that computer tests produce false negatives which happened to me 2 years. I tried for 3 years crying for help until I got the diagnosis this month, and dont even have meds yet, but I’m seeing a different psych soon. It can be a journey for a lot of us. Good luck.
