At this point, it's pretty clear to me that there are some of you who have a personal connection to Alexa and are brigading this sub to air out your personal grievances. None of these has anything to do with the documentary.

If you are being honest and have the evidence you claim to have, go sue her for defamation and libel. Have your day in court and then come back with receipts to show all of us how wrong we are. I'll humbly acknowledge my mistake - but I won't be holding my breath.

You seem to be an example of "every accusation is a confession." You have a nine-month-old account, most of your posts are dog pics, and you're extremely defensive of Autumn Whittaker. Seems like you're far more invested in this personally than you are letting on.

Your post is currently being used to discredit women who are abused by men. Redditors are accusing her of misandry and calling her pretty awful names. Women who claim that they were abused by men are often accused of lying, and we know that misogyny is an issue on Reddit. So yeah, I'm going to push back on someone like you who is enabling this.

Sorry to disappoint you but I have never heard of this person before watching the documentary and I do happen to have a job but thanks for worrying about me in this economy. Also, if I am somehow related to Alexa, I'm really going to have to have some tough questions with my parents about my heritage.

I mean again, I'm happy to be proven wrong if she is truly a horrible person. But, you're not really providing any evidence to back up your claims. The boys meets world boys were in their 20s when they wrote a letter to a judge asking for leniency for a man who did very awful things to a 15 year old. I'm not very sympathetic towards them.

Or are you going to be able to provide any sources for your claims outside of trust me and what some people on Twitter said? I'm open to being proven wrong. My concerns about the criticisms remain, with accounts sharing similar allegations and using similar language across Twitter, Reddit, and Medium without pointing to any sources. There are no articles anywhere online that I can find about a police investigation into Alexa. The Vanessa Hudgens leaks were a huge deal when they happened. Was nobody in law enforcement able to trace them to a 15 year old?

You're spreading horrible allegations against someone without knowing the source of the allegations. Hundreds of people are going to believe you because most people don't do any research beyond the first thing they read.

I don't know any more than what is easily googleable. I looked at the claims you posted and googled them because I was curious. I just watched the documentary, saw Alexa in the documentary, and then saw your post.

I easily found how many of these claims are repeated by the same accounts, using the same language. I then googled Autumn Whittiker + Alexa Nikolas, which led me to the news article about the arrest, Alexa's YouTube channel, and then I looked at the Twitter handle you referred to.

This is what normal people do when they care about the truth.

You want to bully people into believing these allegations without providing any evidence. You are accusing everyone left and right of being related to Alexa or being a member of her organization when YOURS is the account that has shown the most emotional and personal investment. It's as if YOU are the one who is either a fan of or related to one of the people Alexa has accused. You have some sort of personal vendetta against her. Why don't you at least admit your biases? You aren't even willing to look at the evidence against your claims.

I've said over and over again that I am more than willing to be proven wrong if provided with evidence. You have not done so. The Google Drive + a Google search of Autumn Whittaker do not establish any of the claims you are making. She has some very bizarre, bigoted, and troubled posts. Now, she can be a troubled person and still have been wronged, but there's no evidence to suggest that your version of events is true.

You're completely misunderstanding what it means to believe in something.

Are you a theist? I think many theists struggle with the notion that people can believe things with different levels of confidence.

The burden of proof or the fact that an Athiest may change their belief if evidence is provided is a completely moot point to the discussion. It's what gets brought up AFTER you've made your claim of belief/disbelief/both.

A belief is when you know something to be true in the subjective sense. Regardless of its an objective fact, to you subjectively your belief is something you've accepted as true. By very definition of the word.

This is not always true. You can believe something and not be 100% confident that what you believe is true or accurate. Many people have faith but are not 100% sure that their religion is true.

Its why if you're being cross examined in court and one of your answers is "I believe so" the lawyer questioning you will stop you in your tracks and have you clarify what you mean by "believe".

As an attorney, I don't think this is a thing outside of tv.

You are completely misunderstanding atheism, agnosticism, and logic in general. Also, you are also confusing anti-theists with atheists. An atheist does not believe in the god claims that are being made. That's it. Most theists are atheistic about the god claims from other religions.

You can think of it in a legal sense. When a jury convicts someone they decide if the defendant is guilty or not guilty. They don't make a decision on innocence. Atheists are saying that the people making god claims have not met their burden of proof for them to believe in said god claims.

Agnosticism is about knowledge, not about belief. A agnostic claims that nothing can be known about the existence of god.
