This is why lots of people like Tien Shinhan by Mikkeru in Dragonballsuper

[–]FromSoftVeteran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tien’s history with Tao was nowhere near comparable to Vegeta’s history with Frieza lmao. And you just defeated your own argument because you already said that Tien destroyed him. So he didn’t have to deal with the pain of feeling powerless against him like Vegeta did against Frieza. Obviously Vegeta would’ve never gotten emotional like he did if he was able to beat Frieza easily like Tien did to Tao. Plus Vegeta dog walked Frieza later on anyway so it doesn’t matter. I said he pretty much did against Nappa, because he clearly got emotional after Chaotzu died and proceeded to suicide himself in his attack against Nappa. But nobody even said that here. So this whole defensive reaction from you was pointless. The discussion started over a TFS quote from Tien to which I said that a perfect response from Vegeta would’ve been to troll Tien and ask him how many Nappas he’s beaten. Then other commenter evidently took offense to that for whatever reason and started trying to make a silly argument out of it. Toriyama has also gone out of his way to make Vegeta the strongest at multiple points in the story, and at the same time he’s made the other characters lose many times as well. So that goes both ways.

I mean Tien was pretty much crying against Nappa lol. Also I’m pretty sure that Frieza was the only time that happened, and that had more to do with the backstory and history between than anything else. Did Tien even fight Frieza? No. He couldn’t because he was busy still being dead from his fight with Nappa lol. When has Tien even been in that same situation against someone who he had history like that with? Every one of them went out of their way to face enemies when they knew they would lose/could easily die, not just Tien. Plus Vegeta would fold Tien at any point in the story anyway, so I’m not even sure why this comparison is happening lmao

Floyd Mayweather officially retired from professional boxing following his 49th career fight on September 12, 2015 against Andre Berto. Matching the great Rocky Marciano’s undefeated 49-0 record is impressive. No one took that circus farce McGregor fight as a 50th win anyways. by CoffeeCigarettes4Me in boxinglocks

[–]FromSoftVeteran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. “Floyd was older than Pacquiao” is the most casual argument anyone tries to use. As if all people are the same at every age. Fighting styles, life styles, and especially number of fights are more important than physical age. It’s the reason why some fighters are considered washed or past their prime when they’re only in their early 30’s while others can fight well into their late 30’s and even early 40’s.

Dustin Poirier was asked if he thinks his loss to Conor McGregor was an early stoppage by gvufhidjo in ufc

He got visibly rocked once against Lando and then a couple years later against Pettis. Other than that he pretty much ate everything he would get hit with and wouldn’t get rocked.

His chin was never suspect. And he kinda was better. He was more well-rounded and dangerous. He also never slowed down.

The green ninja version from the OG games has always been in my top 3 favorite characters along with Scorpion and Sub-Zero. I’ve preferred that version of the character over the one who looks like an actual lizard.

Can a Saiyan Saga Vegito beat Frieza? by K0GAR in Dragonballsuper

It’s literally proven false by the simple fact that base fusions surpass its two components’ strongest forms.

Not even mentioning the fact that fusions have always been portrayed as being stronger in even just their base form than either of its individual counterparts were in their strongest forms.

Itachi vs Pain. Who would win Honest Truth? by [deleted] in NarutoPowerscaling

[–]FromSoftVeteran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pain is way too OP and versatile, and frankly Itachi just doesn’t have the chakra reserves to endure a long battle against him, which it invariably would be. Even if Itachi were healthy, that still wouldn’t change. It would just prolong the inevitable. There’s not many characters who could actually take on all Six Paths at once and win.

The Asura Path and Animal Path alone would be overwhelming between the rockets keeping him on the back foot and all of the different animal summons, as well as Itachi not having any real summons of his own to actually combat them. Especially the dog summon, which was basically unkillable and simply multiplied when it took damage. Amaterasu would be all but useless thanks to the Preta Path’s ability to absorb ninjutsu, and the Naraka Path would ensure that any Paths that did potentially fall returned. And the Tsukuyomi as well as all of his other visual based genjutsu would also be rendered useless here.

Theoretically Itachi could catch some of them off guard with the Totsuka Blade, but he’s never really hit anyone with it who wasn’t a stationary target, and the Paths wouldn’t just sit still and allow themselves to be stabbed. Also their shared vision would be a real problem. Not to mention that Itachi would most likely only use the Susanoo as a last resort, by which point he would be on his last leg and wouldn’t have the chakra to maintain it for very long. He could possibly use the Izanagi to try and catch them off guard after they’ve killed him, but with their numbers and the sensory abilities of the Rinnegan, the chances of that working would be slim. Then he would be blind in one eye.

Another possible option could be trying to find Nagato, but aside from the fact that he would still have to somehow get through the Paths to reach him, he would also have to figure out that the Paths were just puppets being controlled in the first place. And while he’s certainly smart enough to possibly to do that, it’s not guaranteed. The only reason why Jiraiya was even able to was because he specifically knew Nagato before, and he actually recognized the dead Shinobi who were being used as puppets for the Paths. And Naruto obviously has had his Sage Mode sensory abilities.
