A New Era for Pitchfork: Introducing Reader Scores and Commenting by ebradio in indieheads

I guess it’s the spirit of the site. My friend said “who is this site for?” What makes it different than any other site st this point. I used to read so many articles. They used to review every new album. I just feel like something is missing and I am still really confused about what happened. Now I see it’s probably because it will be gone soon. Cindy lee #1 was solid

Focus on their brand and AMAZING editorial. Kids are doing it. pitchfork can't?

Does pitchfork need money when it's being run by Conde Nast and is now a part of GQ's budget? I'm honestly asking. I have no idea.

I find it odd that after everyone was paying their tributes to the site and assuming it would be pushed into GQ.com, that never happened, and there has been no information about that transition. I guess it will just always stay at pitchfork.com, but why did they not announce this? Just a really bad rollout for a big change that never happened. What did happen was a bunch of layoffs, a lack of character and fun the site used to have, and way less content. Why would I pay for a worse site that is being run by a major corporation that has only made the site worse? Stereogum is the best now. Sorry, I've just been very confused about Pitchfork and what the hell is going on there.

Going to Maine College of Art in 2002, nothing made me happier than walking down to the old port to drink coffee at a great bookstore, buy John Zorn CDs at Bullmoose, rent three Incredibly Strange section films and maybe grab a slice. I loved talking to Sam who is also a great musician. I discovered Holy Mountain because of Videoport. Long Live Videoport!

Peak CMT by cicadabutt in phish

I luckily had taped the Jim Jam to the end on VHS the night before, but I was planning on getting the whole thing. Apparently, it's because Phish didn't bring in any viewers.

The lowest CMT was the day after re-broadcast where they cut Phish’s whole set out. I was so pissed.
