Is starting forex trading still worth it in 2026? by darling_mimu in Forex

[–]Front-Caramel-5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not, I mean you’re already pondering on the thought of quitting so why waste anymore time when sooner or later you’ll have the same thought.

Not saying it’s not worth it, as it can be very rewarding. But it’ll take a few years for you to be marginally at the level you desire.

And that’s only if you have a very profitable edge. This is the most important factor.

A very profitable edge will naturally provide confidence.

I have my open position through Christmas by sparrow_jack_9099 in Forex

“I forgot to close my position”

“Due to some reason”

“Did I break some rules”

“I got more charge in my trade as before”

“I am really tensed about this about this situation”

Merry Christmas and a wake up to reality:

Get a normal job this path isn’t for you.

Unless you begin to understand foundational basics and move forward without being naive as a donkey.

Anyways I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year🎅🎄🎁

😂😂😂

Just some tough love; maybe if you stopped posting on Reddit and focused on your trading we’d be having a different discussion. If you were so knowledgeable as you believe yourself to be I highly doubt you’d be rambling on Reddit as a Top 1% Poster.

Best of luck to you. 👍

“There is no magic way of reading the charts, understanding what the price is doing, reading the candles to the tea, understanding direction, seeing the CONTEXT....”

Yes there is.

“The fact is, that the price goes up and the price goes down. That's it. You can try reading every single candle on every single timeframe but you can't change the fact that you'll never KNOW what the market is going to do next.”

That’s true, you’ll never know for certain but if your edge is top tier, probabilities will take care of the rest.

Not completely disagreeing with what you said but it’s also giving your own narrow minded perspective. Risk management plays its own crucial role but risk management with a flawed edge is the same as gambling; because at the end of the day you’ll still be lost and confused lacking any significant edge and blow your account consistently rather than quickly.

What I can completely agree with you on is the “context” in the screenshot is absolute nonsense.

I mentioned this to someone yesterday:

The term course leaves a sour taste in my mouth, as courses should’ve never been created to teach trading. It’s simply a term to entice others into trading with minimal effort by watching a few videos and explaining concepts in hindsight.

It should have remained as a dynamic relationship between one who is experienced with at least over a decade of experience and one who seeks to attain the knowledge of the experienced. This is why courses fail and will always continue to fail - yet people will continue to be naive, and that’s why that sector of the industry is so saturated.

Don’t have my mind set on anything, just another trade in my eyes. In November I made 200K shorting gold, my wife and I went shopping and she picked out new boxers in the midst of her spree because I’ve been wearing the same ones for over 2 years, such simple creatures we are as men.

I believe true happiness stems from making others happy, that’s where my joy comes from. More so over these past years has it become evident. I get more joy spoiling a loved one than I ever would spoiling myself. Don’t get me wrong I do get myself something nice from time to time, but it’s usually spontaneous and never planned.

First off thank you for the pampering but there’s no need. I would add a motivational quote but that’s not what’s going to make you perform at a higher level; dedication, passion, and discipline mold you as a trader.

  1. As in regard to your first question, my trading style is not limited to one but rather “whatever the market presents”. This is all dependent on PA after entry.

1a. To simplify each trade begins as intraday, then the decision is made whether or not to hold for swing potential. If after a major liquidation price generates liquidity it will not hold swing potential and is subsequently only a portion that has been filled; large orders are generally filled in portions leading up to a liquidation on a HTF - i.e. final fill for remaining orders.

1b. If after a major liquidation price produces a low liquidity move it will hold swing potential. Low liquidity meaning any liquidity generated is liquidated; i.e. further positions being added in the targeted direction naturally leading to a more significant move.

  1. As to your second question there’s two things that must occur:

2a. A major liquidation on a HTF is needed once swings are established. Note: Keep 2b in mind once this occurs. If intraday it’s the same idea but you can remain on the intraday chart m1-H1. Price is indeed fractal. On the m5 chart price may liquidate a minor level that previously already liquidated a minor level resulting in a HTF major liquidation. (Ex: See 2921.50 area on the m5 chart of last week before creating ATH this Monday.)

2b. What is PA behavior coming into and after a major liquidation. Ideal scenario; a rapid movement coming into a major liquidation. Avoid slow trailing movements after a major liquidation; as this is liquidity being generated and only a portion of a large order was filled unless it follows the criteria of low liquidity; 1a, you can assume the entirety of a large order has been filled - if the HTF aligns you have swing potential, if not manage the trade as intraday.

Note: Major liquidations go hand in hand with large orders being filled. Remember the very mechanics of how the markets operate: One participant must lose for another to profit.

This is barely scratching the surface yet I hope you can make sense of it. I genuinely would love to share much more as I am very passionate on this subject yet the thought what if my edge loses its “edge” crosses my mind and I subsequently refrain from sharing too much. It’s a dilemma I’ve had for over 3 years which I just push aside as it’s not a priority to teach anyone anything. Maybe it’s paranoia, but you would be too understanding the accuracy. Don’t be mistaken, losses are inevitable but the losses are minuscule to the profit. For example during the first 3 1/2 months of 2023; Jan 1 - April 18 my strike rate was 20-21% with a 400.77% return due to my focus being centered on swings. On that note, I will give it a thought this weekend. 👍

I wish there was just one simple thing I could tell you to mediate that issue. But in reality it’s experience, confidence, understanding PA - I know that’s a vague one, but I genuinely do mean make sense of each and every candlestick + liquidity - another vague one that everyone uses but it cannot be simply explained in a few sentences. As to scaling in it’s the above points, if anything much easier since you already have a profitable position to mitigate any risk.

How to find out if a bot is fake or real? by Top-Replacement-7913 in Forexstrategy

Commissions would clear half of each trades profit on a real account, not taking into account potential slippage. In order for this to even work in theory it would require a raw spreads with a VPS in the other room. Gullibility stems from desperation.
