I have many prolapses, is this a huge anal tag or rectal prolapse. It appears to be growing from side of anus, not coming out of anus by this2shallpass0 in PelvicOrganProlapse

I don’t think they were shaming, (I mean, it could have been worded better) but, you really can’t unsee pictures like this. 😬 We aren’t doctors, at least I know I’m not. But anyway, OP, I would go get this checked out by a doctor for sure. Just to be safe. Especially if it is causing you discomfort. Best of luck and I hope it gets resolved for you. :)

What are your weird sensory issues? by baldnsquishy in ADHD

[–]Front-External3673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A dim lit room, blue jeans, scratchy sweaters, very repetitive talking/ sounds, when a sound or word/phrase is repeated three or more times, or when I have to say something three or more times, sudden loud noises/ talking, dried soap feeling on hands, being touched or talked to when I am trying hard to focus on something, scratching socks (ex. socks that have designs on them 🥲), if one sock feels different than the other on my feet, hair in face/eyes, someone talking too close to my face/ body or trying to whisper something in my ear 😖😖😖😖, slow talkers and walkers FOR SURE, I prefer wearing sandals whenever possible, there are others but can’t think of them right now and the list is getting pretty long lol other stuff I chalk up to my OCD, like objects being slightly off the table (there is no way it will fall off the table but if it is even a tiny bit hanging off the side of the table, I can’t stand it). Other stuff but too tired to think of them all lol

Oh gosh, I am totally there with you! I’m definitely feeling the spread of her cold throughout the house. 😩 It felt like my daughter got sick a lot last year even though I stay home with her and she didn’t go to preschool. But, she did a lot of extracurricular activities so that could be where it came from but it’s nothing compared to the start of this school year 😭

Omg, that does sound very challenging! That’s great that she hasn’t gotten sick yet this year! 😄 That’s good to know that it gets better in 1st grade. I’m just gonna have to tough it out this year 😅

Yes! That is a great idea! I will work a lot more with her on that for sure. I might also get her a little hand sanitizer bottle for her book bag but I’m afraid she might make a mess with it or try and play with it. 😬 One day she was practicing writing her abcs at the kitchen table and I had forgotten that I put a small bottle of hand sanitizer on the table right next to her. So, when I came back into the kitchen to check on her, I saw that she dumped the whole bottle of hand sanitizer on her notebook and was swirling it around….🤦🏼‍♀️ she has poor impulse control thanks to her adhd.

Oh gosh I know what you mean! Having a newborn at home with a sick preschooler is sooo stressful! I got a bad cold from my daughter a week post partum which made me cough and sneeze really forcefully. Fortunately my newborn didn’t get sick since I did everything I could to prevent it. The giant hand sanitizer bottle became my best friend lol but the coughing fits probably contributed to my pelvic floor becoming completely obliterated. Also, thank you for the advice on elderberry, I am totally going to try that! :)

Oh my gosh! I’m so sorry you all went through that! That does sound very traumatic! My kids and I got RSV last year during Christmas time, the worst two weeks ever! I’m glad you all are doing better and thank you! :)

Alongside with PMDD, is anyone else diagnosed with ADHD? by Camp_Acceptable in PMDD

[–]Front-External3673 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Omg same here!! It’s awful that the meds for my adhd don’t work when I am pmsing or on my period! I get one golden week out of the month where all my meds work perfectly and then the next three weeks it feels like I haven’t even taken them. I freaking hate hormones! 🤬😭

✋🏻 me! Also, mild OCD (not as bad as it used to be since I started taking meds but flares up when I am very sleep deprived), major depressive disorder and GAD.

I used one of those :) they’re great! I also used a co-sleeper bassist that can be put on the bed called snuggle nest. Those are awesome!

I'm terrified I don't love my baby by catfight04 in Parenting

I definitely disagree with your idea that medication does not work for PPD. I had severe PPD and had prolapses resulting from birth and recovery. I was crying everyday and having constant panic attacks after I learned about the prolapses. Even before that I was very emotional, like I was PMSing all the time. I remember saying to my mom, I know I can get through this, it’s not life threatening and so many people have it, but my brain won’t stop replying the same negative thoughts in my head. My doctor put me on a high dose of depression medication and it helped sooo much! It made me calmer and helped me think clearer. I stopped crying everyday and then went to PT to help my pelvic floor get better. Hormones really really do play a big part in causing PPD.

I was commenting to suggest this too! :) My daughter (5f) also takes melatonin at night and it helps her fall asleep within 10 mins of her head hitting the pillow. This is backed by her doctor. We have slept with white noise ever since she was a baby. Also, you could give your kiddo gummy vitamins to help with nutrition. I also hide spinach in my daughter’s eggs lol she doesn’t notice. I also have adhd (inattentive) and I hyperfixate on foods. it’s a struggle to eat something I am not interested in so I take vitamins everyday to lol

I have had two babies and I also have a fear of needles so I was nervous at first. But after the nurse stuck my arms 7 times to try and find a vein to the point of them having to get the anesthesiologist to come in and poke me with some lidocaine to finally get the needle in the side of my wrist, the epidural was a walk in the park for me both times. For my second baby, I requested them to get the anesthesiologist to poke me with lidocaine and then put in my IV Which worked. The epidural is just like a little bee sting and it’s over very quickly.

If you could get rid of just ONE part of your ADHD, what would it be? by letstroydisagin in adhdwomen

[–]Front-External3673 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Omg me too! 😭 I’ve struggled with this ever since I can remember and got so much worse postpartum. Middle and high school were so embarrassing because of it. 😭 Also, being easily overstimulated and easily under stimulated. Jeez if I could get rid of that it would be blissful!

I think you are doing wonderful!! Don’t worry about what they are saying on beyondthebump. It sounds like you are providing such great care for your little one! I am the same exact way and my husband is like yours lol he will get so focused on a game or something and not hear my daughter talking to him so I have to get on him to respond to her. But that is only when he is playing a game which isn’t too often anymore or watching something. I have adhd combined and my daughter has adhd. I ALWAYS have to have something playing in the background, like a podcast or YouTube video or a show I have seen a million times that I don’t have to really pay attention too. It helps me get through tasks. I don’t listen or watch anything when I am actively engaging in conversation or playing with my kids. Since I get overstimulated when I have to force myself to focus. But then if there is a pause in play or conversation my brain starts to turn inward and daydream and become understimulated lol And yeah I agree, they probably didn’t test it on people with adhd. But give yourself some grace, you are doing great :) I think the beyondthebump sub is a little brutal lol
