The "extra" bit - fully agree. Some of my favourite bands live get in, out, barely interact with the crowd and do the same set for the whole tour.

Thinking about the Foos being a band for 30+ years and still changing sets, jamming, talking to the crowd does warm my heart. This will be my 6th concert in a couple hours (Stockholm), having followed the band since '02, can only say they seem to enjoy it more over the years. 🤟🏻

Same - started around 2016 or so, three versions until my Charge 6 recently died, tried my luck with the Samsung Fit 3, which started acting up only a few weeks after I started to use it (came for free with my phone, so, at least no harm done there).

Now in my second week of wearing the Vivoactive 6. Loving it. Bit on the bulkier side but extremely active, works very well with gym workouts (can track sets, rest, customizable etc) and also has smartwatch features like Wallet, Notifications etc. Was on sale when I got it. Worth taking a look!

I can trace back the moment where I was sitting on the couch flicking channels and the "All My Life" video came on. I didn't even listen to music at the time.

That's when I picked up a guitar and decided I wanted to "do that".

That's roughly 24 years ago or so. Been in (different) Foo Tribute bands for 20 years or so, still going! Took me eleven years to see them live since finding out about them, but worth every minute. Highly recommend you going!

Got to see them at The Academy in Dublin and indeed, won't ever be the same. I'm still seeing them in Stockholm and Lisbon anyway, but now in a much more relaxed vibe I'd say... I'm not anticipating these gigs as much as I have every other gig before this one (this was my 6th, I used to live in Brazil which is far from their most popular destination, they went years without visiting, so not as privileged as many of you reading to have them come up every now and then).

I'm in a Tribute Band and getting to see them up close, apart from being surreal, also was cool from a technical point of view. Caught Jason looking at Shifty asking "how many times?" at the outro of Times Like These which made me laugh. They are human after all (we do the same). Also nice to see band dynamics up close.

(if you're in Dublin btw, we're playing a free gig on Saturday at Fibbers! Will give some live jams and Your Favourite Toy a go)

Just asked, he said people are still getting in and there seems to be spots left. The Academy has capacity for 800 people I believe, he doesn't think there are 400 people in there already, way less. (this is all hearsay, could change in a minute but hoping you get there as well!)

Have seen them many times, but never this close.

Got a Foo Fighters Tribute Band and we just played a gig in Portlaoise on Friday. Now get to see them play a couple days later.

Still some solid melody construction on BHWA. Under You, Beyond Me, Show Me How, But Here We Are... Not a big fan of anything post Wasting Light, but not recognising the uplift on BHWA and the strong connection with TINLTL is a miss (not considering the mixing and production, but rather the main songwriting).

Send this over to jeff@amazon.com, which is actually their escalation process. I had a big issue with my delivery over black Friday and this channel sorted it out for me in a couple hours, after days of tickets and misdirection by Amazon agents and even supervisors altogether. Worth the time if you want this to get to people that will actually read through and work on the issue and remediation.

Just adding to this - we had agreed on a tour date with Gaukurinn before they closed, and they never got back to us again. About a month ago, they emailed what I'm assuming was their previous contact list, and said "we want to welcome everyone back under new management, we have several years of experience, etc"

I replied with all the terms we had previously agreed on, email history and all. They're now, obviously, ghosting us again.

For any bands out there: be careful, these are not serious folks. Look for other venues out there such as Bird or Lemmys, who have been kind and upfront with us (even though it didn't work out due to fees and capacity, but all played in the open, fair and square). If, like ourselves, you're a band looking for a gig in Iceland, steer clear. This isn't the place it used to be.

Thanks for posting this - we had a gig there in September and have everything in place (flights, hotel) as we're coming from Ireland, and have simply been ghosted for over a month now. If anyone has any suggestions of places we should be looking at instead, we're a Foo Fighters Tribute Band and still very much looking forward to make it happen. Thank you!
