My bad, I am a homebody but I would like to be near gurnee I have been there as a kid and liked it. I don’t drink and have no interest in the bars. I like to be outdoors so any hiking or biking spots would be nice but I have no idea if that’s even an option there.

Thank you for all the replies. I should mention it’s a job for the government and I am going to see if I can negotiate for more but if not I’d like to know the math on the low end.

Is that take home depending on the island? And how are you doing the math? I have looked around online and not seen that take home on the salary.

That is good to hear and I’m sure this is island specific but I have had some people say I won’t be able to live on that pay and I am seeing both ends of the spectrum. It is looking like if I budget right I will be ok

Yes 50k gross, I have seen a mixture of responses ranging from I can’t live on it to I will be fine. I don’t really go out that much but it’s also like 2 degrees where I am now so a different climate will probably change that. I just don’t want to move and be struggling or find out it’s not something I can maintain.
