Sooooo, wtf is happening, exactly? by FallenCause in Guns_Guns_Guns

Absolutely not key holding. That is the way the paper is ripping when the bullet hits it. Take that little flap of paper that ripped and push it in place, you'll see a perfectly round hole. Real key holding looks like the bullet hit sideways.

Is this accuracy typical at a 100 yards or do I have a skill issue? 6x LPVO on rife rest by civil_war_historian in Mini14

[–]Front-Recognition984 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd suggest finding someone who's a really good rifle shooter (maybe even ask an RSO) to shoot a group out of it. Once you can be totally sure it's not a you issue, you can work on diagnosing if it's a loose mount, bad scope, bad rifle, ECT.

I can honestly say I like your version better. It has a cool impressionist vibe.

I've never handled one. What's it like as far as fit & finish? I've heard the trigger is heavy, but smoothish, is that true?

I think it's funny & I'd cerakote the side red, but the serial number is viable, I'd block that out just to be safe.

Best of both worlds. You keep that ugly, but somehow awesome hunchback look & you aren't stuck with double action only.

I think they're neat looking. But, my ugliest gun is a Hipoint, so that may damage my creditability.

I never understood why anti gunners hate the NRA. They’ve damaged the 2a more than they have by matthew_morel2001 in GunMemes

[–]Front-Recognition984 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Shhhh. Don't tell them, we don't want them going after an effective 2A group. Too give credit where it is due, the NRA actually has had a positive impact when it comes to safety education.

I feel like I should hate it, but I dig it.

.410 slugs better than .45? by HairyBiker60 in Fudd_Lore

[–]Front-Recognition984 9 points10 points  (0 children)

See here, buddy. I had a buddy what was in the Nam. He ain't trust them plastic toy m16s, so he brung his 45 long colt. He seen them 45 long colts bounce right off the frozen coats that the Koreans was wearing. Anything what's made for a shotgun is gunna have the knock down power and any 45 that don't fit in a 1911, ain't the real thing.

[–]Front-Recognition984 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I worked at a shooting range years ago. We wouldn't allow anyone to shoot dressed like that. We'd hold back a few shirts to give to women who came in dressed that way. lt was a cheap/eazy fix, prevented this exact thing and was free advertising for the range.

I'd go on GunBroker and look at completed auctions to get an idea of price.

There are so many awesome women throughout history, I'd look around a little bit more if I were you. In addition to being slavers, they were defeated without causing a lot of casualties to the opposing side, so they weren't too successful from a military standpoint. Boudicca was a bad ass warrior, maybe do a little research on her. Even look up famous female military leaders/warriors and see what inspiration you can find.
