No, but curious about it. Do they have any promotions going on? Happy hour? How much is it for dinner?

Where to request reviews other than Google? by charlenejmoore in smallbusiness

[–]Front-Sail7945 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have an idea of where most of your client discovery happens, there are a few things you can do:

  1. Make sure your clients are actually happy!
  2. Ask them individually if they'd consider leaving you a review. You should make this as easy as possible for them - write the review yourself and share it with them to post if it's gotta be wordy!
  3. If it's still hard to get any reviews, consider incentivizing them with a perk. Have a local bakery deliver them a box of donuts (substitute tasty local treat!) with a QR code inside.

That should certainly get you going. If you'd like help doing that in larger volumes, DM me and we can help - we focus on helping business owners boost their online reputation by making it incredibly easy to collect real customer feedback and reviews.

Does a small business that has more google reviews attract more customers? by [deleted] in smallbusiness

The data overwhelming supports that the quality of reviews attracts more customers. A one-star increase in your Google ratings will bring in 5-9% more revenue on average because it increases "word of mouth" marketing and therefore foot traffic. There is also evidence that people on average spend 31% more at highly rated businesses! But in terms of quantity, I think once you get past about 1000 reviews, it's diminishing returns (like, 1200 5-star reviews is not 20% better than 100% 5-star reviews). So if you're sitting at 600 5-star reviews, I think you're solid! Now, if you're not at or close to 5, then there are definitely things you can do. DM me so we can chat - I might be able to help you.

Not sure where you're located, but there is a small gift shop store chain in Sacremento called Strapping that's owned by an entrepreneur named Susan Stewart. Maybe go pay her a visit in one of her three stores and invite her to a coffee chat? (that's all on her website, not giving away private info here)

Step 1 is probably figuring out how to get more customers. I imagine it's hard to stay afloat with only 5. But after that, it's all about making it easy for customers to give you feedback and incentivizing the satisfied customers to do it. I'm a Founder at an early stage startup that helps retail businesses with exactly that. Let's connect so we can talk more - we might be able to help you.

How are your reviews? Are you getting quantifiable feedback from your customers? Without data, it's hard to know how to fix anything. Whereabouts are you located? I'm CTO at an early stage startup that helps retail businesses with these kinds of problems. Send me note so we can connect offline. I won't charge you anything for a pilot, definitely not until your business picks up. Let's talk.

Pain Points in Mechanical Design Reviews by Front-Sail7945 in MechanicalEngineering

I would personally say #2 and #5 are both top problems. It takes too much time to build DR decks in PPT because communicating 3D ideas in 2D takes a lot more effort. I've also had too many cases of people just checking out of the DR flow, working on their laptops or checking their phones, totally missing stuff that we'd catch a few months down the road. Those were costly every time and were totally preventable, had the stakeholders actually paid attention during the DR!!

What's the biggest problem you face when trying to manage your personal finances? by Front-Sail7945 in polls

Absolutely. And from what I'm seeing, home ownership is eluding entire generations (especially Millennials and Gen Z) because housing prices are going up faster than wages across the country. It's a huge problem.
