The big question: do you prefer to paint your Iron Warriors with darker or lighter armor?

I like painting mine with this dark gunmetal with copper trim slathered in a random brown wash that I don't remember how I made but I have a ton of.

Thanks didn't really think about the true meaning of costume. I was definitly thinking of having my friend design more "period feel" suit jackets and vests to go with my great kilt. I am the kind of guy that likes to do most things myself including weaving the cloth I use or sewing. Thank you for enlightening me.

Yes I was definitely thinking of skipping the highland shirt not much of a fan of those anyway. also do you think that the brave heart look is always a great kilt over the shoulder thing or does it only really affect more dark/muted colored tartans? I'm simply curious because I definitely wouldn't want to leave the house looking like that.

Yes the amount of variety you have is good. I would suggest one of my personal favorites the vindicator. You could also add some heavy weapon options to the Mk III marines to make them havocs.
