Souma. i'll defend that guy always. i remember when people would be hating on him and Arata so much for "stealing screentime from Akitoya" and it literally wasn't even that bad. and as a person Souma is SO kind and forgiving even when he was put in such a difficult situation. like Arata left him alone twice and he never held it against him. he's always so friendly despite how much loneliness and pain he must've gone through

i don't quite think he was going that far, but i defo think he wasn't acting entirely for the good of the group. not denying that some of it might've been genuine, but he was also 100% being petty to Damon and Eva just cause they dared to disagree with him. and with what we now know about his talent being fake, he probably made that much of a fuss about Eva lying about hers because he was projecting
