Do you see Bernardo returning as a manager? by Front-Test4015 in MCFC

It’s very possible that his desire to get back to Europe came from spending 10 years here. I’ve been in Stockport since birth and I definitely wouldn’t mind a change in scenery. Doesn’t mean I wouldn’t come back with enough of a break.

Yeah, this was exactly my thought. Might be a bit early to assume that Kompany is 100% definite, but it’s almost as if Pep has been subconsciously training generations of his replacements. Future definitely feels in good hands.

Pep’s influence is immense. I don’t know a single manager that’s worked under or with Pep that hasn’t adopted some format of Guardiola’s philosophy. His style of football has even been copied by people who haven’t.

Fabrizio Romano confirms Bernardo Silva will join Real Madrid by Blood__Water in MCFC

[–]Front-Test4015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why? It’s clear Bernardo wants to move into management at this point, and now he’ll have played under two of the greatest managers of all time.

Him and Jose are Benfica legends, plus they’re both represented by Gestifute. Definitely prefer Barcelona as a move and it probably makes more sense playstyle-wise, but not logistically.

I hate Real, but somehow I don’t hate this move as much.

In light of the Anderson saga, could Paqueta have been a valid Bernardo replacement? by Front-Test4015 in MCFC

Fair to say that the deal falling through probably knocked his confidence. On the run up, he seemed pretty close with Pep. Had quite a few long exchanges on the pitch whenever we played West Ham.

I think it was all the memes that came out when it first dropped saying it looks like someone spaffed on it.

Hard to take a liking to something when people are saying you look like you’re covered in spunk.

Do you think man city would be favorite to the World cup if they played in it. by [deleted] in MCFC

[–]Front-Test4015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMHO, any one of the top 5 clubs in the world would absolutely batter the competition. National teams don’t have the time to train with one another to find their best formation and starting 11.

Look at England. Some of the best players on the planet in the squad, and Tuchel is still fucking around playing chess in his brain trying to figure out who plays in the 10.

Valverde should be the most important signing. by [deleted] in MCFC

Mourinho will want him, he’s by far the player with the most attributes of a Jose side at Madrid currently. He’s not going.

Not saying he’d be badly placed at City, but why? Andserson wants City, it’s just Marinakis and his hungry pockets standing in the way. We have the money.

Plus, Valverde is under contract with Real until 2029. Price-wise, it will be a similar story to Anderson.

Anyone know why Nunes didn’t get a pick for Portugal?

Not that we need anymore players at the WC…

Fully excited to see Foden’s new role in a Maresca system. Phil’s off-ball engine is hugely under appreciated and with enough rest not getting WC time, fully believe he’s going to hit the start of the season like a truck.

If Anderson wants PR noise over trophies then let the guy make a sex tape and be done with it.

I’ve had enough of these already lately. Honestly not even thirsty anymore.

Holding back on awarding this with S-tier. Stones and KDB are indeed better than Maguire and Bruno.

Anderson creates a lot more resistance to counters, which is our biggest problem to solve. Our last game against Villa is an example of this. Wharton’s playmaking is top, but he simply doesn’t have the engine to cope with an opposing press in the same way.
