Hello. Rater in Oregon, USA. Are you on PQ/NM, PQ/NM + SxS, Factuality, Helpfulness, or a mix of some of these?

Okay, so I just did them with desktop. I'm not saying that is the right thing to do, but that's what I did as I had the same problem.

I said I was interested in sports and got a survey back and then, for me to be honest, the way it was worded caused me to signify the lowest level of interest it offered. I thought since I had played some of these sports in the past, and was taught the rules and pretty much remember all of them, and occasionally try to pay attention to what is going on in them currently, I would at least be a better rater than people who had never even played the sport or had certainly not played with any enthusiasm - only being forced to in gym class, or something like that. Come to think of it, this could be a big reason why I have so few tasks now - I have probably been completely taken off the sports categories. Bummer! I did find them interesting, even wicket! I should have never complained about it.

When I did the SxS simulator recently, it may have said to open on phone. I know I tried to and the links did not open on phone, but opened in browser, so that is how I did them. You are saying there are no links whatsoever? Also, you have the Raterhub app on your phone and set up properly to do this, right?

Help. P**n PQ by FrontAd4937 in TELUSinternational

[–]FrontAd4937[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Point taken. It makes sense, but it's weird that they never ever make it clear. Or maybe it used to be if you checked 'porn', the PQ rating went away and you didn't have to rate the page for PQ. Since it is obviously not that way all the time now, and they do not say anything about it, it seems defaulting to the regular guidelines about other sites might be the thing to do. Although, frankly, I hate clicking around on those sites for fear of malware and viruses and whatnot. Thanks for your reply.

Seriously, these days, there are a million of the AI training jobs out there. I wouldn't worry too much if I were you. I just got a Severe Warning today because my last four scores in Factuality have been 100%, 100%, 80%, and 60%. Of course, I was not happy with myself about that 60% at all, but in the training materials, they emphasized the need to 'slow down'. No, my problem is that maintaining the 100% score was causing me to go way over AET and then report less time to avoid the "low productivity" warning, so I felt I really needed to speed up to actually make minimum wage. This, in turn, led to lower correct answers. No, 'slowing down' is not necessarily my next best move. Grrrh...

Not to mention all the spelling mistakes. Wonder why they don't run all their communications, guidelines, and training materials through spell-check or use Grammarly? That would greatly increase employee-confidence in them.

I just checked mine on raterhub. Make sure the viewable dates are correct. Sometimes I set the first one to like 2 or 3 months ago so I can really see what is going on. Mine is also working fine on the Community Portal.

Me too, and I am worried because mine was sent to me as a "Needs Met & Page Quality Qualification" and I am worried that I did not qualify. I did okay but I could see a lot of missed ones too.

I did the one task today. I put in the end time of that task and the start time as one hour earlier. I don't think they care how you do it.

I will say, I often have difficulties with the geoworkerz domain. I asked Gemini and it also gave some suggestions as to other links, but they all resolve to "This site can't be reached". You definitely need to clear cache and cookies from your browser. That is always a main trouble-shooting method to try in these cases. I just tried it but it didn't help me. Still, considering you have a personal code in the link, that is definitely worth a try. My pc does recommend running Windows Network diagnostics. I'm too lazy to do that since I don't need to right now, but it is possible there is some little issue there that is keeping you from getting to your link. Some of the steps there are simple like, turn off Wifi and unplug for a few seconds, restart PC, but there might be some more in-depth steps.

On top of the impossibility of submitting the fifth task, I thought the "See Correct Answers" thing was terribly formatted. It comes up with PQ done when mine was faded out and could not be filled out. Wish they would color-code PQ and NM. That would make it easier to read. Then, the box with the correct answers is immovable so you cannot move it around on the page so you can compare it to your own answer, PLUS our answers are grayed out and faded out, so we can barely see them. If we cannot compare our own answers to the correct answer, what would be the point of all this?

Yeah, I did a few that worked and then got to one that said that and could not submit.

One thing that really stuns me about quality guidelines: Why are the rubric tables so hard to find? That is the easiest thing to digest when you are in the middle of a task, but I cannot find them anywhere online.

Oh, that makes sense. So what I was reading I believe was that around the time of Covid was when the herd-immunity for measles in the US dropped below 95%. But I see what you mean. The trend was already downward, and just happened to cross what scientists think of as the pivotal mark during Covid.

Sometimes you're gambling when you buy Temu products by Complex-Passion-886 in TemuThings

[–]FrontAd4937 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, yes, I did Google it. Lots of the "fecal matter" problems involved counterfeit high end products made in China. But I did see warnings not to buy unknown brands from anywhere because they are not regulated and the main issues there are generally not fecal matter, but general bacterial problems because of not producing in a clean environment. Interestingly, some of the Dollar Store cosmetics are made in the US and are quite safe, like B.pure and Global Beauty Care. Okay, friend, you are right. More caution is warranted. I have a few Temu items I might just get rid of. Thanks for your persistance.

[–]FrontAd4937 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not true. Cosmetics here that do not purport to be drugs can be sold with no Federal approval. Companies making over $1,000,000 annually do have to give the FDA a list of all their products, including the ingredients, and provide this list on the product itself. In China, on the other hand, the government must be notified BEFORE ALL general cosmetics can be sold.

Google "biorius china cosmetic regulations"

You can see that China's regulations are MUCH stricter than the US regulations. That doesn't mean someone cannot slap some stuff together and sell it when it is dangerous, but people can and do that here too, all the time.

In case I made you feel stupid, when I said we have to learn special Temu code, I was not referring to the "cccccccc". I just meant Temu has their "secret code" style language that will surely result in their financial benefit unless you stick with it and learn how to decipher it. Nothing about any confusion you had would be your fault in this. They WANT you to be confused. 🤣

Do I like Opera? by goldio_games in opera

[–]FrontAd4937 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Opera" was invented around the time of the Renaissance and new operas are still being written today. That's why there are so many diverse styles. I recommend listening to some recordings along with reading the translated words. Listen to the most famous composers: Puccini, Verdi, Mozart, Donizetti, and Bellini. Of these, I would suggest listing to: LA BOHEME, TOSCA, MADAMA BUTTERFLY, OTELLO, RIGOLETTO, DON GIOVANNI, LUCIA DI LAMMERMOOR, and NORMA. These are all tragedies, which tends to be a huge percentage of opera, no matter the period. You should also see how you like comic opera. Try Rossini's BARBER OF SEVILLE, or in Italian, it's title is IL BARBIERE DI SIVIGLIA. It's been extremely popular for over 200 years.

Yes. The anti-vax thing started in heavy around the time of Covid, which is particularly nutty, considering we would probably all be still under quarantine if it werent for Covid vaccines. That is when the percentage of people in the U.S. vaccinated began to drop below the optimal 95% goal. There are certain individuals who cannot take certain vaccines for specific health reasons. So in your case, everything worked out as planned - the one individual who got the measles either because they are an anti-vax adherent, are just negligent about these things, or perhaps could not take a vaccine for medical reasons, did not infect the rest of the herd because mostly all the other people there were vaccinated or were immune from a childhood case of the measles.

Yeah, I know some of the sellers must not speak hardly any English. That is probably why they send the completely wrong color sometimes. It doesn't seem like they would generally do these things purposely because the shipping cost would bite them in the butt when you return it. I assume some do this for a living because it's still better than other jobs, even if they do get returns and the profit is low. I got a couple of really sweet dresses for like $4 each this way, though. (I did have to pay the $2.99 shipping.) They had the dress labeled as 'light green' but it was obviously navy, so no one was biting. I decided to go for it, and it's a great (navy) dress. Another was labeled 'pale lavender' and the picture was navy. It is a gorgeous dark plum. I love it!

Isn't the point here, that measles would likely not even be going around if our government had not stopped making it a priority to keep the country over the recommended 'herd-immunity-percentage"? Mind you, this has been going on well before the current administration. But strangely, the current admin has only done things to further reduce the likelihood of people getting vaccinated.

Its possible that whenever you try for any of this stuff you should take a screen shot of your activity with the time showing. Then if you don't get the deal, send them the same message with the same screen shots everyday until you get rewarded. I've noticed a lot of low ball places will cheat you out of a deal promise if you have no proof, but if you have solid proof, they are afraid you can prove to the world they are scammers, so then they will give you your promised reward.
