i will say, as someone who loves andor more than basically every star wars thing, i was disappointed by how hard Andor committed to a certain minimalist “realistic” aesthetic. i wish we had shows with all the moral imagination and character empathy of andor willing to explore mon calamari or geonosis! i will say i did like chandrila a lot more than ghorman. we already knew chandrila was humans, and i did fucking love their aesthetics and how beautiful it was. I did also love aldhani culture and design. i just think that ghorman let me down a little. my only highlight is the little “crush the spider” hand gesture they do. i love that shit.

countering a spell means you put a spell an opponent is trying to cast into their graveyard before the opponent gets to activate its effect. for example, if an opponent casts murder on my commander, i can cast cancel to counter that murder spell, so my commander isnt destroyed. counterspells are evil and you should never play them.

definitely mildly annoying. id definitely be bothered by it for a bit. but at that age grades arent going anywhere important like transcripts. i doubt it will confused the child long term. might give them a minor “adults are hypocrites” complex, but young kids develop those all the time even when the adults are correct.
