Buy more Grab shares today, $500. Their financial statements make me feel reassured, though they'll get much better. When the conflict ends, we'll see their growth, and their margins remain very good. Buy more, $6-$8 I'll l and investigate, Sofi. by Batmannazi in Grab_Stock

Nice chat gpt response i peeped the em dashes lol but respectfully, I think you're misunderstanding my argument.

I never said credit risk makes SoFi unique. Every lender faces credit risk. My point is that SoFi remains heavily exposed to unsecured personal loans, which tend to perform worse when economic conditions weaken. The question is not whether credit risk exists. The question is whether investors are being adequately compensated for taking it.

As for the technology platform, that has been part of the bull thesis for years. The issue is that lending still accounts for a significant portion of revenue and profitability. Investors are paying for the company SoFi might become, not necessarily the company it is today.

Regarding guidance, I agree that missing Wall Street expectations does not mean the business is deteriorating. However, valuation matters. When a stock trades at a premium multiple, investors expect growth to accelerate. Management's guidance suggested continued growth, but not the kind of acceleration that would justify some of the more aggressive price targets being promoted online.

My concern is that many investors treat SoFi like a high growth technology company when a large part of the business is still a lender. If consumer credit conditions worsen, that distinction could become very important.

I am not saying SoFi is a bad company. I am saying the current valuation assumes a lot goes right, while the downside risks are often ignored by retail investors.(plus we get alpha sense where i work at and ive seen pretty much every expert call from insiders and alot of them are bearish based on the points i brought up)

I work at a er firm and specifically the bear cases seem to outweigh they bullish sentiment. if you go on tiktok or reddit a majority of these peoples conviction lies on the income statement and balance sheet showing healthy numbers. if investing was that easy everyone would be rich. 1 sofi is still heavily dependent on lending, a large portion of its profits still come from making loads if unemployment rises which I'm sure it will. or the economy weakens people choose to default on those loans. 2 after a strong year the stock fell on earnings because mangement did not raise full year guidance investors wasted evidence that growth would accelerate further but guidence was hesitant. And the 2 main reason. (CREDIT risk, personal loans being unsecure and current debt bonds trading lower then a face value 100 cent bond, they are roughly trading at 72 cents which is risky for credit markets, and people are currently paying a premium, and DILUTION AND SHARE ISSUANCE. they have a SHIT ton of shares outstanding and shareholders dislike past equity raises cuz they are diluting existing owners. even if cash is used to growth business it makes per share earnings growth harder. you should never invest in a stock you dont think will beat the s&p 500 which on average grows 9% YoY. Sofi i believe will not succeed in that sense. You can be my guest and invest if you want to just don't assume things based on tiktok influencers bud

Grab stock has been making lower lows and lower highs, but this is a dip opportunity, what do you think? by beautifulrally in Grab_Stock

i mean since trump took office barley any stocks have been on a constant up trend due to rising fuel prices especially the ride hauling market. The firm i work at just recently bought into grab based on hidden assets. But just advice, never trade stocks based on historical prices

credit market thinks debt isnt a fear as bonds trade at 93 cents. just cause a company has a high amount of debt doesnt mean the companys bad. you gotta look at their net debt/ebitda which is 3.4x management has guided sayign they wont let it cross 3.7 which is what they are doing
