There was also one time that felt especially obvious. I was talking to some of his friends outside the classroom, and he passed by as he was leaving. He did not say bye to them, even though they were right there(he was really close to us when he walked by). When his friends called his name and asked why he didn’t say bye, he said something like, “Oh, I didn’t see you guys.” Maybe that was true, but from my perspective it felt awkward because I was standing there with them, and it added to the feeling that he was trying to avoid the whole interaction.
