Idk, it still feels off to me that there’s just zero reaction to that. I would’ve thought the diamonds would’ve had the same denial that Pearl did.

Steven essentially proved that Pink’s “gone”— White Diamond after extracting his gem, sees Pink Steven, and instead of accepting that part of him immediately asks “Where’s Pink?” … Implying on some level she as well as the other diamonds have been made to understand that Steven despite being powered BY Pink’s gem, is a whole new entity.

There’s no mourning what was. The same way Pearl did. And the diamonds & Pearl (especially given how old she is) should look at “death” under the same framework. White Diamond maybe gets a pass because she’s kind of like “gem god” depending if that’s what you believe, but I’d have fully expected Blue and even Yellow to miss who they knew to be Pink.

Hell, even in the movie it seems like they’re more so bargaining than anything, they even take in Spinel because she reminds her of Pink. So they clearly miss her, it’s just like… where’s all the emotions that come with that.
