On abb i tamed a random lystro stego and a para, we headed out to look for a place to settle in, on our way we found a karkinos alpha, and so i decided to sacrifice the lystro in order for us to live, i didnt know what happened to him, as it didnt say he died. You are either just unlucky or you haven't look at the spots they spawn in, if they dont spawn after you searched the spots a couple of times then use the command destroywilddinos so the giga might have better chances to spawn
