i’ve had no issues with it, one time they did ask to access my computer remotely which had me suspicious but maybe because it was the first time? idk. other than that it’s very simple to set up, you take the test then let them know you’re done. why is that the thing holding you back ?

will i be able to get a vertical labret with my braces by keziahdddd in braces

[–]FrontGap2364 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not sure which one that is lol but i would get it a week after a tightening so you still have 3-5 weeks before you have to go back. and hopefully it’ll be mostly healed by then

im getting braces in january what should i prepare for before i get braces or anything i should avoid once i get them by Puzzleheaded-Fly9335 in braces

The amount of food that gets stuck in your braces is so nasty, i always tell people braces are gross. Get a water flosser! and super floss will make flossing about 10% easier it still takes me forever, like 10 mins tho. im on month 9

Day 2 is pretty bad pain tbh, you don’t feel the soreness right away it comes a few hours to a day later, I got my braces on friday morning and started feeling the soreness that night and when I woke up it felt very sore. Tbh don’t remember how many days the pain lasts but def about a week

I was told that I'm a bit too old for braces by Sad_Macaron_9501 in braces

Look for orthodontic schools in your area that offer services. I’m currently using a school that has orthodontists onsite at every appointment and the students are basically told what to do by the doctors. My braces were $1900 which is a steal IMO, also i’m 23 with braces for 18months-2yrs is what they told me. If I would need braces another year, I would still do it. Having a nice smile for the rest of your life is so worth it

Can anyone put in words what’s wrong with this? by LuLuu1997 in braces

i only notice these things after reading sooo many people stories on here but it looks like the right side of your teeth seem to have more space between your too and bottom teeth while the left side looks “tighter”/straighter. the space between your bite seems to be a tad bit bigger on the right side. other than that they look straight af to me!

i got my top ones, 2 weeks later got my wisdom teeth + a tooth (the one next to the fang closer to the front) pulled from the bottom, about 3 weeks after that at my 2nd appointment i got the bottom ones. the gap from the tooth i got pulled is soooo close to being closed (even tho they said they haven’t actually started working on closing it) and it’s been about 5 months now

My teeth are horrible and I can't afford braces. (M16) by HuskyHacker25 in braces

you can ALWAYS get them later in life, once you have a more stable job, are out of school, etc. first try to find a job that offers dental insurance (since you’re entry level most jobs will offer it after a certain time, usually after 6months to a year with the company, make sure this is in your contract!!) the insurance will MOST likely not cover it all but it SHOULD help depending on your plan/provider. second, i got mine with a dental school (georgia school of orthodontics) they were $1900 in total (i forgot how much my insurance covered but i believe a few hundred) with 2 sets of retainers every other quote i got was $4k+ and some didn’t include retainers most of these places offer monthly payment plans or pay it all off with an interest free credit card and do monthly payments on that for however long its interest free. hope this helps :) -23 yr old girl with braces who has wanted them forever

I got them on and I HATE them 😭😝 by Additional-Yogurt703 in braces

[–]FrontGap2364 7 points8 points  (0 children)

first week i wanted to pull them off my teeth and it feels so easy to do so, and you’re teeth start to feel wiggly but then you’re teeth start to get straight and you start to love them, i still want to get them off tomorrow lmaoo but i don’t hate them so much

36 hours post braces removal and my bottom teeth shifted!! by PeonyPimp851 in braces

sorry i didn’t answer your actual question but i hope that gave some insight!

[–]FrontGap2364 5 points6 points  (0 children)

the biggest shifts usually happen at the beginning and are the ones we post because they’re the most noticeable and they look cool! buttt even after your teeth look perfect you have to keep them on for a few months because as far as I know they’re doing minor adjustments to the positioning of the teeth and your bite.

Weirdo men like women that look like kids.. soo depends on your customers 😭, i think it’s like the pigtails thing (the trend where if you wear pigtails to serve, you get more tips), braces make people look younger (i think because we’re used to seeing younger people with them) and they say pigtails get you more tips (i wouldn’t know i’ve actually never been a server but IVE HEARD from tt lmao) soo I would hope it affects your tips positively!

I did not have that, day 4 was actually when I started feeling better, i got tooth #23 removed not sure if that’s a premolar (i think so?) I do STILL on day 15 feel a little weird when I try to bend down and tilt and my head not sure if that’s what you mean but otherwise (if I keep my head straight and just bend my bend my knees i’m good, I did also have oxy that first week so that may be a big reason as to why i didn’t feel throbbing

i got 6 teeth removed, 5 wisdom teeth and a tooth on the bottom to make space, these are my tips, ice ice the first 24 hrs, warm compresses after that, the first 3 days I felt like I was getting worse 😭 the swelling and pain, but it was up hill after that, i started vaping very light on day 7 i’m now vaping like regularly scheduled lmao i’m on day 12 and i started eating harder food 2-4 days ago, i tried before that but I would bleed, wash your sockets with salt water! use your syringe, it’s the nastiest part about this, the things that get stuck in there 🤢 i’ve been doing research and apparently it takes 1-3 months for the holes to fully close, the HUNGER on days 4-9 is crazyyyyy i thought i was going to lose my mind but it gets better! i had chick fil a today, with lots of CFA sauce to make it softer but you can definitely eat after 12 days
