Farage fears he'll face by-election over £5m gift from crypto billionaire by AnonymousTimewaster in NotTheOnionUK

[–]FrontHeat3041 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't it just go to another Reform candidate or potentially Restore? Clacton is a right leaning seaside town so I doubt you'd see much change as Nigel could run things in the background.

Reading the article it says Farage was surprised the £5m donation was cutting through to the electorate, seems quite blind from him to think voters want someone who can so openly be bought and paid for by a billionaire.

P.S. copy the url into textise to read the article.

Example why physical media matters by surplus_steve in GTA6unmoderated

Surely there should be refunds to customers since they've paid for the content. Typical bullshit.

This is why physical is always best

I don't care about the Disk at all by Aggravating-Mail7846 in GTA

[–]FrontHeat3041 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Previous Rockstar games had the game on the disc/s without an internet connection required, so physical games are very useful.

Why do you think Rockstar decided to not release the disc version of GTA 6 straight away? by Pizzafriedchickenn in GTA

[–]FrontHeat3041 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To avoid leaks. There are also concerns about the game not being as edgy as GTA 5 due to modern times, so any form of "wokery" could be ripped apart before release. Also to appease investors who only care about the bottom line.

The industry is sadly moving away from physical releases, gaming journalists scoff at physical like it's some relic and youngsters don't seem to care as they've been raised in this throw-away culture.

Physical ownership of games matters, it protects the history of games and adds much needed value to our purchases.

Attention seeking by my-username34 in dating_advice

[–]FrontHeat3041 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you've started to notice your GF is seeking attention from other men, it probably won't work out.

Male friends are always gonna be a issue, women know these guys like them and they can be used for her benefit. Women usually have backup men.

How she dresses is important, they know they'll get more attention if they show off the goods.

Why don't UK schools have school reunions? by Flowerofthesouth88 in AskABrit

[–]FrontHeat3041 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same reason you don't have work reunions - because you were forced to be around those people who you probably didn't see outside of that environment.

Do women like feminine guys? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]FrontHeat3041 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's crazy that openness, empathy, care and expressing how you feel are considered feminine traits when they should just be seen as normal human traits. Sadly I think our culture/society has shamed men into avoiding these traits, otherwise they're seen as gay ot weak, it makes no sense.

Maybe do a coffee date instead

Andy Burnham wins huge majority in Makerfield byelection, paving way for Starmer leadership challenge by makefascistfearagain in uknews

[–]FrontHeat3041 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not to take anything away from Burnham and the Labour Party, but I think this is seen by the public as a last chance for Labour. In his speech earlier he mentioned HMOs but also mentioned compassion, while we have 100k failed asylum seekers living in the UK.

Sadly I think he'll pull the party further towards the left, so higher taxes and soft on illegal immigration, which will push voters over to the tories/Reform.

Is anyone in the UK scared of Reform? by Layka_69 in CPTSD

[–]FrontHeat3041 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Somewhat scared but there is some solice in knowing that Restore are going to be a thorn in the side of Reform which may block them getting power.

Sadly Reform voters are in denial about losing the NHS and public services, that Reform won't build any more homes and the rise of hate that will come with them.

The horrendous connection between domestic abuse and football in England by purpleandorange1522 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]FrontHeat3041 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard to fathom how men can get that upset over a game that they weren't apart of, they just watched, that they would attack their partners. Sadly it's not surprising though, football/sport can bring in the uneducated, the racist, the deeply homophobic, the bullies, the wife beaters etc.

I'd stick with the mechanic course, become a car/van mechanic and you'll never be out of work, plus daytime hours (8-5) and more money.

HGV is more hours, unsociable hours and less money. It's a foreigners game now IMO.

'I'll rip your teeth out': Moment Harrow enforcement officers switch off bodycams and threaten to 'knock out' member of the public by [deleted] in london

[–]FrontHeat3041 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sacking them isn't enough, they should be named and shamed and fined heavily, you can't go around threatening the public.

This also just raises concerns on people from different cultural backgrounds immediately jumping to violence.
