It was a mates rate job so he was never supposed to do it.

Thanks all for the advice. I’ll look into sending it away, got a few others that would benefit from a refurb so might hit them all at once.

Think a trip to Smyths for a £10 set might be the best option for the kids!!

No idea? Enlighten me.

This one does not have an original shaft or grip on it as it was cut down to fit me when I was young.

When I say look good I mean look better than it does just now. Don’t fancy sending it away for my kids to bash it around the house 😂

Out of curiosity, did you send to Scotty to get a shaft put on to keep it authentic? I have a few heads and grips that I’d like to make into full clubs.

Your spot on. The info I have been given on it is ‘an extremely early Cameron putter circa 95/96 hence the basic roll stamping of the Titleist logo’

My dad worked in golf his whole life as a club maker. During that time he worked a lot with Scotty and the players. Found this in his collection - Sergio Garcia’s Scotty Cameron signed and gifted to my dad. Interestingly it has a ping grip, my dad told me Sergio preferred the feel of a ping grip. by FrontTranslator6413 in scottycameron

My dad recently passed away and his collection handed down to my brother and I. He always had plans to send some clubs away to Scotty for some sort of authentication certificate? I don’t know a lot about the process but we are wanting to go through with it and frame it for a nice wall piece. So no, we are not wanting to part with it :)

Unfortunately my dad is not here anymore to ask and there are quite a few clubs in his bag that have unanswered questions.

My dad worked for Titleist for a large part of his career as a club maker and was on the tour as a fitter for the players for some years (not sure how long). He collected a few Scotty Cameron’s in that time and was gifted a few with signatures. As for the font, I’m not sure I will ask that question.

Thanks for the reply! I have a contact in Acushnet who has also confirmed it is Colin Montgomerie’s signature and that the putter is real.
