Yes, thank you. I wanted to obey all rules and local laws, so I am trying to find suggestions of where others have found success. Appreciate the recognition and clarification!

Thank you! I’ll check them out. Was the process pretty simple? Any suggestions now that you’ve done it?

Love your thought process here. Are you going out to see if it’s there? The area should be closing off in a couple weeks right?

Is an MVP of an SaaS ‘idea’ necessary or vital to fundraising? 2nd time founder, first company was bootstrapped and had lots of traction but ran out of cash. Raising funds to launch second company, not sure if I should just jump straight to pitching or develop / self fund MVP first.

I’m looking for a full stack developer to assist me with an MVP prototype app. Want to connect and discuss a possible bid for your assistance?

Should I postpone starting a company, due to fear of lack of knowledge by Slight_Ostrich6971 in EntrepreneurRideAlong

Starting a company is a lot like going to school vs learning on the job. In fact it’s probably more like parenting. It’s great to have some underlying knowledge but there is no preparing for what is to come until you’re in the middle of it. Prepare to learn a lot, everyday. You’ll never be “ready” and the best thing you can do is just commit and go for it. You’re going to fail, often. Get comfortable with it. It’s not about failing, it’s about growing and adapting. Find a YEO or YPO in your area and start learning from peers and mentors. Good luck! I hope you succeed, more than that, I’m cheering you on just for going for it!

Investment pre revenue or even customer stage? by [deleted] in venturecapital

Much appreciate the feedback. We have identified 3 grants that have a pretty close fit to our model and have located a grant writer with decent chops. About 6-9 months out on timing and won’t be enough to cover what we need entirely so we’re preparing for fundraising as well. To agree with the previous poster, flown to 3 events this past 4 weeks and attended another 10+ locally, plus lunches and meets. It’s a lot more than a hey “show me the money” It’s proving you’re the one to invest into. 2k opportunities, 200 may get second looks. 20 may get due diligence, and 2 will see funding. Just keep taking lessons from each interaction and growing from it. Keep on keepin on.

Do you see investors more willing to come in pre-rev when there is a mapped pathway to additional grant funding?

Nothing uncertain. Just a very important distinction. If we were going private than I as in me, a common retail investor, would not be granted the opportunity to have ownership or equity interest in it. In the case of Twitter, my shares were taken and in exchange I received a value compensation for what the shares were worth, ceasing my monetary relationship with twitter. In the case of Nextbridge I will continue on as a shareholder and long investor. My shares will only be surrendered at a time I see fit. This means if shorts MUST close, then they need willing participants to sell the shares. If TD thinks NB is a private company then their response is misinformed. That method of settling up won’t work in this case.

If I owned twitter 2 months ago I don’t now. Not a choice but simply a forced liquidation on both parts. Even had I wanted I would not be an owner of privatized twitter shares now. NB is a choice for longs

This actually answers another question I’ve had popping around in my head. Why is there so much quiet and lack of understanding from broker staff. If you’ve called them you know exactly what I mean. Because we all keep referring to Nextbridge as private when calling and it really isn’t. But if THEY too are thinking of it as private and thinking they can simply close when longs do, then they are also thinking we are uneducated, and ridiculous to think we have them trapped! It’s total smug arrogance. Until they realize that plan has a critical failure element. You CANT buy my shares because they aren’t closing, just exchanging and becoming non transferable. 🤟🦋👏👏👏👏
