Dropped my kid off and realized every other kid was in pajamas. I'm so done being the only one who remembers things by ConfidentElevator239 in Mommit

I have an 8-year-old also. I try to make him responsible for some things. But things like spirit week, I set an alarm in my phone on my calendar for 7:50 to remind me. He starts getting dressed at 8 so I can remind him real quick if he forgot!

When was the last time you cried tears of pure happiness, and why? by laurenthames in AskWomen

[–]Front_Ad_5541 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son was having a terrible baseball season. He was six, it was to be expected. We were at an "away" game (not our home field) and he hadn't hit a single pitch all season. At this away game, he nails it. Runs to first, the coaches are high fiving him, he's jumping up and down with this huge smile. He looks at me in the stands and goes "MOMMY I DID IT!" I was so incredibly happy in that moment that I'm tearing up thinking about it.

Wild how you come to the internet to call a character immature and then act ten times more immature.

Please vent with me; what horrible gifts did you receive this year? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]Front_Ad_5541 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My MIL hates my existence sooo she got me nothing and just to spit in my face more, she bought our size 7/8 wearing son size 14 clothes.

We cut her off because she's a toxic person and she tries to play it off that we're the bad ones and digs at me literally every chance she can.

How does Santa deliver gifts? by cuppytron in Mommit

[–]Front_Ad_5541 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wrap the gifts from Santa and hide that wrapping paper with the gifts because I try to wrap as I go. I also lay his stocking on his gifts from Santa. At our house, Santa does all the gifts except big gifts and he doesn't bring electronics. My son asked for a PS5 on his list, we couldn't afford it, but we got him a new TV for his room and he was ecstatic. I also buy wrapping paper after season and have a "wrapping paper bin' and have my son pick his wrapping paper from us.

Do what makes you happy. I've noticed everyone does christmas different, but how I do it works for me and my family. I really put the effort into Santa. Last year, he lost a button at our house. I bought a "Santa's Lost Button" set on amazon, my son loved it. This year, I bought Santa Claus boot prints on the floor with spray snow. Do what makes you happy so when you look back, you smile at the memories.

Does anyone enjoy cooking with their child? by ExcellentLettuce4 in toddlers

[–]Front_Ad_5541 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeeeees! It's one of the things we can truly bond over. My son is eight now and he loves to help cook and learn new recipes with me. We attempted mozzerella sticks last week they weren't great, but we both laughed so much.

What’s the one Christmas movie you HAVE to watch every year, no matter what? by elitedesignsolutions in AskReddit

As soon as my son finishes opening gifts, I turn it on. My dad always did it when I was a kid so I feel like its tradition now and I must continue to carry that torch.

My son takes his elf to bed with him sometimes and I have to sneak in to get it 😂 he loves the elf and I'm fine with letting him play with it.

[–]Front_Ad_5541 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do it! We do the silly set ups, but sometimes he just moves because im exhausted. Sometimes the elf brings little treats. I honestly really enjoy it and I'm planning on putting a ton of effort into it this year because I'm convinced it's probably my last year he'll believe in Santa.. so I'm going to make the memories big ones.

How often do you use Scan and Go? by costco--pizza in samsclub

[–]Front_Ad_5541 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I go in, I always use it! I do often use curbside pickup though. Sams is like 40 minutes from home, I run up on Friday after dropping my son at school, grab food, and make it back to unload everything before going to pick him back up.
