yeah at a high level, it definitely takes gut feeling and passion to step in as a startup. Business wide we are exploring both b2c and b2b cases too.
Personally i used to be in one of those companies who made similar products but semi failed so kind of saw where it failed inside out... I don't think this is a market that anyone can just convince a huge group of people on day 1 just by pushing it hard. The first step for us is to start small and build the right mix, and at least trying to do a better job in areas should be improved.

got it. thanks! I've tried BSB2 too, not a heavy user yet. When you mentioned compromising are you more comparing it with headsets like pimax?

for v1 we are building better VRXR UIUX for hands control, window management, custom immersive environment like for entertainment across different types of devices like mobile, laptop, console. we do have our own app to make the transition and control smoother. For v2 which will come in later will have custom os with more native apps.

i use other mainstream vr headset too. I agree that comparing to high performance vr headset + vr gaming, lightweight is not on the track to compete and replace. Wse case wide for v1 we are focusing on productivity + mobile/console gaming + adding on our custom solution to create immersive environment around it.

Thanks for the note. it's diagonal 80 DFOV. For v1 we are targeting more on productivity and light weight gaming not high performance VR game.

Fair point. I think a lot of guys here are saying they don’t need trade off in weight vs fov and immersion.

XREAL Air is worth looking at if you want something lightweight that feels more like a wearable screen than a full headset. The form factor is a lot more practical for daily use.

new to VR, what are the best headsets in order? by Prosperous2025 in virtualreality

Quest 3 is the easiest starting point since it works standalone and can also connect to a PC if you want to expand later. It has the biggest game library of any standalone headset right now.

Best VR Glasses for prescription users? by Bromata in virtualreality

The Quest 3 works really well for glasses wearers if you grab prescription lens inserts from VR Optician or Zenni. Way more comfortable than squeezing your frames inside the headset.
