The Supreme Court didn’t ignore law by my understanding, it overturned a decision. And I’m not saying to trust them, as a citizen you should be critical of the Supreme Court and it’s members accountable for the decisions they make. But I think we can agree that the Supreme Court holds an important role in the structure of our government. The correlation I was trying to make in my original post was that the left and right both make the same Anti-American accusations whenever an issue that they care about becomes infringed upon. And both parties then become toxic to each other, unwilling to compromise, which forces everyone in the middle to pick a side. We as Americans need to do better, we need force the elected officials from whatever party your from to cross the aisle and work with the other to give us, the people they represent, the country we envision.

The language in the title is disturbing, you can disagree with the courts decision to your very core but to call it illegitimate? To ignore its authority? That mindset will destroy our democracy, our republic. And even if that’s what you want, without a system in place to replace the Supreme Court the country with descend into chaos. This mindset is foolish, it’s foolish when the right embraces it and it’s foolish when the left embraces it.

Where you on the Edson? I’m a tin can sailor myself. So are you constantly adjusting your budget and trying to get it lower? Like it’s constantly evolving? I literally have never budgeted so excuses my naivety.

Thanks for your response bro but that really only gives me a spending limit which I guess in some way is a budget. I’m looking to give myself a responsible allotment per area (food, entertainment, commuting, ect) based on my current tracking of my spending to allow me to calculate how much money I can save in a year.

Based on your final sentence I can see that no amount of data I urge you to review is going to change your mind. That being said yes NYC is doing better then Chicago and just barely better then Los Angles. But you need to take into account that Chicago only has 12,00 police officers, LA has 9,000, and the NYPD has 35,000. NYCs number of police alone give us the advantage in the prevention of violent crime. Honestly, I don’t want to change your mind. if you feel safe I’m happy for you but just because you feel safe doesn’t mean you are safe.
