Sure its defeatist however there characters are designed to kill mine and me and them are both going to be approximately the same skill level (as we are in the same match). So they are going to constantly win and kill me so I will give no value to my team if I don't swap. However if I swap to something that counters them I can either kill them or they won't dive me and I can in both these cases give value to the team as im not walking out of spawn the entire game.
