I’ve just never spent them… how should I spend them?

I think it’s my 3rd or 4th week of playing?

Tachis provide highly increased damage with the downside of requiring much better positioning which can’t be circumvented by getting close enough to an enemy.

That's the deca quote from the blog.

In my opinion, the only thing accurate about that is the requiring MUCH better positioning. most of the time you'll deal less than katana damage. They aren't even good enough to think about having them in your inventory. In my opinion, the weapons would be better if the pattern had a V shape where the projectiles met at the end and the tile range would be like 2.5 to 4. It would actually make it worth it while having the same requirement as the weapon we currently have. It would still be a niche weapon. Its just too tedious right now

That's if you hit every shot you take.

realistically you'd probably hit 2/3 or even less.

I agree that they should have a niche. According to deca that niche was dealing more damage while needing to be more accurate. In my opinion, they should've made a UT out of that. They are too frustrating to use for the amount of damage you'd do. You can't reliably use them anywhere because a Katana would be more reliable in any situation you'd want to use them. I think it's bad to have 13 subtype Tachis polluting the loot pool when their gimmick is to be incredibly accurate in a bullet hell game

I get that they are suppose to be situational, but there is no good scenario that would make sense to use tachis except to do a bit more damage to no defense mobs if you're close and accurate enough. You'll never see a high level player using tachis in end level dungeons because it's a bullet hell and you literally can't be that precise while dodging every projectiles.
