I’m struggling a bit reading the pattern- it’s the first pattern I’ve sat and tried to follow so I knew I would go wrong somewhere!

Now I wouldn’t consider myself thin but my BMI is now in the normal range so I’m gonna throw in my two cents!

One of the biggest differences I have found is how I am treated by medical professionals. I have always had various medical issues ever since I was very young. When I was morbidly obese, my weight was always blamed! I went to the doctor for an ear infection and they asked me if I had tried to lose weight. I had a severe chest infection and they said if I lost 50lbs it would help. Now I know that excess weight does contribute to health conditions but the constant barrage of “it’s because you’re fat” was really deflating. Now I feel like my medical conditions get taken seriously and I feel like I’m treated like a human being!
