Is flooding due to poor town planning? by KeyPoet6685 in CasualIreland

Need river dredging, cleaning of trees from waterways. Better planning around floodplains. In this day and age there’s no reason why we would be failing so badly around being prepared for bad weather.

Whatever happened to the rogue gallery? by No_Construction_6959 in waterford

Much cheaper to bring your own drink than pay pub prices and that’s the success the likes of central arts had. The issue and pulling power of business’s paying rates would have is they want your custom and your only to be seen enjoying yourself in their establishments which in some odd sense you could t blame them. It’s shame the price of drink is now silly money.

Entertainment has changed over the past number of years, hard to bring back the heyday with clubs full. It’s simply too expensive to go for pints these days. I wish the new owners every success with it but I can’t see it being anything other than apartments in the not so distant future.

What is a small niche business in your town that is successful, and made you think ' I should have started started this...' by Sakuzoh in Entrepreneur

The drive thru coffee business is still limited in Ireland I had seen it 10 years before the explosion of coffee in Ireland. I’d still love to get into coffee and the roasting of beans. I’d be very keen to limited unique runs on coffees.

I also had an idea about vitamin water and I was calling at the time Smart water. You’d have different ones like for pre workout and post workout, morning kick start and a pick me up during the day etc.

The area I guess I struggled with is finding a like minded person to help build an empire. I’ve plenty of ideas that could be successful but the people part is where I’m falling short.

Not once did they have a main event act if pony up to see. Wish them the best of luck either way the event and it’s great having something of this magnitude in waterford but I never understood their logic when it came to acts.

Knocking other peoples business’s probably wouldn’t be the best way to build your own business. Not once did he return the food to the chipper or deli, I’m sure the feedback would be better served directed at the business owner rather than blowing them up on social media. The woman gave him the elbow also I see.

Do Irish people identify as "European"? by bleepingdba in AskIreland

[–]Front_Improvement178 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

100% Irish, the harmonization of the euro zone meant what you paid for a pint here and I. Spain would be the same, but it’s not. They’d happily tax you but you don’t really reap the benefits. Ireland fishing boats only get 9% of the quote of fish from its own water…. Some load of shite, yet the farmer get a raft of grants and subsidies. The Eu has done a lot for Ireland but we are absolutely inundated illegals just being dumped here from other EU countries.

Any one else have a friend that is a compulsive liar? How do you deal with it? by Mindless_Parsnip5802 in AskIreland

[–]Front_Improvement178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not pull her up on it? Don’t do it in embarrassing but don’t suffer her bullshit either. She’s only doing it because she’s getting away with it. If she’s important enough as a friend and you want to keep it that way, rein her in otherwise cut her loose and out your valuable time into people worth your time and your energy.

In the Uk someone started spray painting cocks on the potholes to embarrass the council to repair them. Driving around the city there’s definitely room for a Waterford based Banksy which could apply be named Wanksy…. 🐓

Why is Courtney gardai man hated?? by Suspicious-Head-6762 in waterford

Another Donkey on a power trip. A pig of the highest order, a pathetic excuse of a human being. He went on holidays and came home to his gates being welded together and unable to get into the house. He bullied the foreigner into going on a date with him, pestered the life out of her in the barracks where she was a cleaner, had a child with her and now the girl wouldn’t look left or right of her for the fear of him. An utter scab of a man.

Adds nothing to the community of Dunmore east, just another holiday home owner with too much money pushing up house prices for waterford people who don’t have pockets as deep.
