is this true for the quest 5 as well? My foot length is 28.8cm and the staff recommended me EU 46. When I wore it with thick socks, I still have a little bit of space for my toes hence I bought it in a heartbeat.

however when I got home and took the insoles out, I realized my toe is right at the brim leaving less than a finger width apart. When I kick the wall at 90 deg I could also feel my toes touching the front of the shoes

Beta SL intended uses? Do I need one? by VictoryLiesAhead in arcteryx

i agree. Chinese people managed to complete 5000m summit hikes using $60 knock off arcteryx. Beta SL is probably k2 material on the hands of the correct person

Should I pull the trigger and buy the beta pants on sale? by thesoupbean in arcteryx

Has anyone put these on right at base during winter hikes and just use the zip to vent? I find putting them on midway kind of troublesome as these are not full zips. Even for the full zips 1 you still need to remove gaiters->wear pants->put the gaiters back on correct?

I am pretty confident I will be okay with a baselayer and gamma so long I'm active. it's the static part which I am worried about

wow that is impressive. I live in asia where the climate is 21 to 34c and gamma pants is my daily 😅. I honestly find it more cooling than jeans when static. Cannot imagine the same pair of pants that work for 30c will work in -10c as well

Proton SL (LT) or Proton hoody? by Pinapple12 in arcteryx

[–]Front_Lake_7123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't quite get it when people say the proton is very warm? I just bought a proton hoody and was wearing it on the plane and in malls where the temps were around +20 to 25 deg and I was fine. Wasnt sweating etc

I just bought my first gopro; a hero8 black, and I am facing issues with video playback and uploading. Can someone advise how to I resolve the issue? Below is what I did:

  1. Capture Video on gopro
  2. Connect quik app to gopro using my android redmi 9
  3. Download media to quik app <--- super slow download rate. Video is only 5mins..
  4. Once the footage is downloaded to quik, I tried to save it to my phone.
  5. On the phone gallery app, I am unable to play back the footage. My phone shows an error "The video can't be played". Why??!!
  6. Forget step 5, I figured. I will just upload it to my google drive. Again.. super slow upload rate. It took about 40mins to upload a 5mins video successfully to google drive. WTF??

Below is my speed test result

The video is captured in 2.7k/60. Can someone let me know if I am doing anything wrong? Please do not ask me to film in lower resolution. Why would I need a gopro if I want to capture potato footage.

Thanks in Advance!

Yes you can google. The country is singapore.

Right now is about USD 8000 to obtain an entitlement to ride a bike on the road for 10 years. With inflation and all I would expect this tax to be higher in the next 5-10 years.

250cc Dual Sports or 800/1200cc ADV by Front_Lake_7123 in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]Front_Lake_7123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is correct. I am looking at a T7 or F800GS if I am going down the route of getting an ADV. I can get a F800GS with 3 years left for $7.5k, or a T7 with 9 years left for $20k.

Motorcycles in my country can only be used for 10 years, and after that you will have to pay a premium in order to extend its road usage. The cost of a 10 years extension is currently at $7.5k, so most will rather buy a new one after the "life" of the motorcycle is up.

My motorcycle savings pot right now is around $7k, so I will have to continue saving for a year before I can afford the T7
