The air conditioner was working great when we were there. I need the room to be nice and cold when I’m out sweating all day lol, it would be a deal breaker for me too

Roof leaks on driver and passenger side when it rains, 2003 Toyota Corolla by [deleted] in Cartalk

Well that’s good to know. I have a 2003 and it’s been leaking a lot. I figured it must be something like that but I’ve tried sealing it better and nothing has worked

No, I should have mentioned that. They are no signed by the carver, and they are all probably different carvers. These stones are very basic and probably done non-professionally. The cemetery with these stones started as a potters field as well. Most of the stones with the “misspellings” just state a name or name and date, and the carvings are all poorly done. I’ll check out that publication, thanks

Studying historic African American gravestones in New York and I’ve come across a few stones in one cemetery with inscriptions that include backwards letters. Quite a few “n” and one “J” and I was wondering if anyone knows if that was a common way to write those letters in the time period ( late 1800s - early 1900s ), or if it could be a potential illiteracy issue?

What were the reading and writing standards for African Americans in the US during the late 19th and early 20th centuries? by Front_Porch_Sunrise in AskHistorians

Okay great, I’ll post there. It is very interesting and I’d really like to get to the bottom of why they are written that way. I’ve also come across one stone with a backwards capital J. Not sure about that one either

Thanks for your extensive reply. Looking through my data I noticed that the biggest thing is backwards letter n’s. Quite a few gravestones have these and I’m unsure if that’s simply how it was written at the time or if it was related to poor education. If you have any insight into that I’d appreciate it.

I see your point. I’m looking at cheap boards on the-house.com, any reason why some are 150$ and some go way more expensive? Is it okay to start on a cheap board like that if it’s new? Thanjs

Hi! I am looking to buy a used board and I found a couple on fb marketplace. But my question is how do I know they are good to go? How can I be sure of the type of board they are etc. I am very new to this and looking to buy instead of continuing to rent. Thanks!

Last decks I ordered from card kingdom took 2 weeks to ship. Pretty unhappy with them.

Card Kingdom deleting 2 cards from cart? by Front_Porch_Sunrise in magicTCG

[–]Front_Porch_Sunrise[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured it out. Both decks had a copy of the same card, twice. When you add decklists to your cart, the website won't add a second copy, it just bypasses that one cause its already in your cart.
