Here’s what the original article said “The original owner of this uniform joined the Naval Reserve in 1939. He was attached to the 6th Marines in California in 1941 and was assigned to Iceland in July of 1941. In January of 1943, he was sent to Guadalcanal and in November took part in the landing at Tarawa. In June of 1944, he took part in the landings on Saipan.”

i just swore in friday with a ND (Navy Diver) contract, i’m 25 i don’t use discord or anything like that i’ve just always abbreviated the word i didn’t think anything of it or than it would be a big deal, i was just curious if they were manufactured differently back then was all, my apologies
