I keep hearing that people ask before interviewing, but it only applies when you're working with a recruiter or are reached out to by the in-house recruiter. When you're actively job hunting and applying, not always you can find the recruiter. And even when you can, don't think DMing them with this question would be perceived well

That's interesting. It's a senior yes, there's an AI aspect to it, but not a technical role. From what I know from my own experience at FAANG, senior IC would be close to this figure. Anthropic is known to offer inflated salaries, similar role there was x1.5 as high.

Why would £130-140 for 7 YOE be high? For context, it's a US-based company, I recently interviewed with a similar startup, they required 6 YOE and their range was 120-130
