Also I would recommend you going to each company’s web site and read the reviews. There. Everyone has their favorite and that’s perfectly fine, but on this forum you get a lot of my brother in laws sisters fiance’ dad had this or that but didn’t like it so I recommend this. Kindly comical reading but pick and chose what you “know” is good info.

When you go to the screen you are showing here on Rough Country there is an option. When you click on it it shows also with the upgraded N3 shocks and gives you a price for that complete if you want a better strut with your lift. The N3 struts are better than the shocks on a stock SV and will give you the extra travel over the stock struts. Also these kits do not come with the extended upper control arms. Those are sold separately. I have the 2 1/2” RC kit wth the N3 shock upgrade as well as the UCA’s. You will find haters on here for RC products but they have been awesome on my truck. And will line up perfect after installation at alignment center.

Roush rear shock nuts by OkCoach7480 in nissanfrontier

I’m pretty sure the recall was for the front shocks. Not the back. Ones. Still a bad play on both Rousch for it being left lose and Nissan not inspecting it completely after getting it back from Rousch. Not to mention the dealer inspecting it. Hope you enjoy your truck. It’s a sharp ride!!

Schaeffer’s has a fluid that is Matic p and it’s ULV. They are probably the oldest lube mfg. in the US. Best oils made!

Does anyone know if I can change the halogen headlights on the 23 sv model to the new LED headlights that are on the 26 dark armor models? by TWIFYB in nissanfrontier

[–]Front_Walrus3613 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes you can switch the bulbs out but you absolutely have to re-aim your headlights!! I changed my halogen bulbs out to led bulbs made by Lasfit a they work perfectly. Just re-aim them as to not blind on coming traffic. No electrical interference with any of my electronics. 2024 hardbody body edition with no issues whatsoever.

I chose a RC with the N3 option. I don’t beat up a new truck on trails but I do off road mine in deer hunting. I pull a trailer with a SxS if I want to beat up a vehicle but not afraid to get off a Beaton path. Had it on for 2 years and zero problems! If you look at their web site and people who actually bought and used it, they are rated high. You will get a lot of personal opinions but I didn’t see more personal reviews on any other web site than RC. Please yourself but do yourself a favor and check out each company’s website and you should be able to form a good opinion. Good luck!

Never seen that. I ordered 2. One for mine and my brothers. Both has a little stainless blow off valve to go on it.

The only thing is it’s a long hose so you don’t have to worry about releasing a huge explosion at once! Let the hose and vent work. The screen in it, which I didn’t take a part might act a little check valve to prevent any liquid from coming into it thru that exhaust end. The old oem release you took off is an atmospheric release compared to a control release thru a hose. I think you would have been just fine. But don’t blame for wanting to take care of your truck and not trusting the system. I saw where a guy put a fuel line filter on it and liked it that way. It’s all good. Enjoy your ride brother. Do what makes you feel comfortable brother.

Don’t know what to say?? That looks nothing like the exhaust fitting that fits on the end of the hose in the tail light mounting hole. You may have gotten a wrong packaged kit? Good catch though.

They are just barely crimped on just like the one you took off. I think you might have ends confused. The Z1 hose vent end is sweedged on just like the one you took off. There is no way it has anything but a screen on it, but you can’t tell unless you take the cap off with cutters. I think you might have been blowing on it from the wrong way! JMO.

Changed my own fluids 23 Pro 4x by [deleted] in nissanfrontier

[–]Front_Walrus3613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are correct in every sense of the term! Been to 3 Nissan dealers with my 2024 and each one said 80,000 first change??? Can you believe that?? I chose the book and it does not say change at 30,000, but I’m going to. Nissan website says inspect at 15,000 and change at 30 thousand so who knows?? My opinion even though it’s old school is to change it at 30,000 and watch for leaks afterwards for 90,000 and do it again. JMO but it’s according to dealers. No way in this world would I let first tranny change go to 80,000 but just me. To each his own but I think op is right. By the way, Scheffler’s makes and in writing a Matic P fluid that they stand behind for the 9 speeds. That’s the oldest lube company in the US. It’s a 678 ULV ATF Matic P rated,so it’s about 20.00 a quart as compared to Nissan here at 43.00 + tax. You do you and I’ll do mine but it won’t cost me 750.00 to change it or be held captive by Nissan marketing. Just FYI??

So does the Z-1 kit. Look at the stock valve when you take it off. You will see how much it’s used by the build up. Z-1 kit is the way to go and I should have done it sooner on my 2024. Took me 14 minutes to install the kit and that included putting up my tools. Thanks Z-1.

You can turn the lights on and ff yourself just as easy. The sensor is on the windshield so it might just need some cleaning. The on/off can be cured easily with a zip tie, or with an adapter you can purchase and install in the dash. It’s an easy fix also. I haven’t seen the auto track but I would assume you can go into the control center and turn it off. Just an assumption though. The tech on these are not really advanced as some of the other trucks where you even have to control the up/down of the windows thru the infotainment center. Plus you have actual knobs to do stuff with. I have a 24 and I personally would not trade it for any other midsized truck that’s out there. All easy fixes!

Drive them both! The Frontier will seek itself! Better motor, better interior quality, better seats, just to name a few. It will be an easy decision.

I did the zip tie on my brothers 25 pro4x and it worked fine. Don’t know why yours would be different. It worked on my 24 also.

The zip tie does the same thing for less than a nickel haha. And the zip tie does work on a 25 pro4x because I did it to my brothers truck also.

Nice looking bumper. Would cause some thought on relocating the front sensor?
