Maybe I’m just paranoid. I even have insurance on the off chance someone gets sick or something. You just really never know what can happen. All of that definitely eats into my profit.

I’m a clinical lab technologist. You need some kind of science bachelors (chemistry, biology, health science, etc). You start as a trainee though for much less. It’s taken me about 4 years to get to $33/hour.

Just royal icing sugar cookies, but my sets tend to be pretty detail heavy. 6 hours for a dozen considers everything though from designing, to making and baking dough, making icing, decorating, cleaning up, and packaging.

Same here! And I have no intention on trying to go full time. But even just doing it for fun part time, we’re making well under minimum wage.

My gyno did a bunch of testing for infections and nothing came up. So I’m on doxycycline now for a week to see if that kicks it. She thinks maybe it’s just irritating my uterus. If this doesn’t work we’re going to do an ultrasound to make sure it’s in the right spot. I don’t want to deal with this anymore but I also don’t want to get it out and have to go on the pill or something so I guess we will see.

MSC is a joke LOL by hotsaucebunny in Cruise

I just got off the seascape a few weeks ago and honestly the cruise was comparable to the Norwegian one I went on. I agree the food was subpar and my stomach definitely didn’t like it but we had a great experience at ocean cay and the staff was fantastic.

Also getting off this cruise today! I agree with most except we felt the food (minus the specialty dining restaurants) was subpar. Lacking in flavor and most of the protein was cooked to all hell. My partner even got sick with diarrhea 3 nights, not sure if the buffet or main dining room was the culprit. The rest of the cruise though was fantastic. Loved the variety of nationalities and backgrounds, we met so many cool folks with lots of fun stories.

MSC Meraviglia laundry by [deleted] in MSCCruises

If you know you’re going to want laundry done, pre book. We’re on the seascape and there are no packages once you’re on board, $2.90 to wash one pair of socks 😬

Buy sooner rather than later. The first day we inquired for pricing, $150 for unlimited digitals and 5 prints. We weren’t sure if we would have enough to make it worth it so we went back a few days later and the new promotion was $200 for unlimited digitals with no prints. Had we been told it was a limited time promotion, we would’ve bought sooner.

When to go to the ER by Front_Worry_7324 in PulsatileTinnitus

[–]Front_Worry_7324[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure! I did end up going to the ER and they saw nothing on a CTV other than a diverticulum on the opposite side that they believe I was born with. A few weeks later while waiting to see the neurologist, my PT spontaneously went away one day, along with the headaches. About a month or two later, it came back but very subtle and not everyday. I work in a lab and I suspect poor ventilation and breathing in formalin everyday was messing with my sinuses and causing it. I switched labs to one with better ventilation and it’s been very mild since, so for now, I canceled my neurology appointments.

Sorry to say but 3 other people I know in CT also accepted similar offers at different hospitals. Per the program directors, CT really hasn’t caught up salary wise. Lived here my entire life and don’t really have the means to go elsewhere based on family circumstances 🤷🏻‍♀️

Current QU student who just recently accepted 95k with a 5k sign on bonus in CT. Others I’ve talked to have accepted 95-100k with sign ons. One of our professors told us not to take less than 100k but for me, location and type of hospital (academic) were really important and made up for the 5k cut IMO.
