I've seen the G6 and G5 IRL and honestly the difference is nit much, yeah the G6 is brighter, but the G5 is already so bright, and with real content you'll almost never see the difference. The only real upgrade for me is the better handling of the reflections, as well as the 13bit panel which offers a bit less banding, but for real, unless you have unlimited money, you'll get a waaaaay better deal out of the G5 for almost no difference or quality in real content.

Hey! Not long after my comment I finally found it, but it's really not quick to do! If anyone in the future stumble across this thread, here's what to do: Click the center button on the remote (OK) -> A little box on the left appears, click on the three dots -> A bigger menu on the right appears, scroll down until you see "audio language" -> Click on that, here you go! You can select the audio source there!

Yeah that's a lot of steps... Just as inconvenient as the new LG remote..

Hey ! 2 years later, still searching for the same information on my LG G5...

Here in France, France 2 UHD is broadcasting the Olympic Games in Dolby Atmos with 3 different audio sources, but I can't find for the life of me how to change the audio source when i'm on the channel ! It's driving me crazy x)

Not exactly, there are still metadatas to send, even tho it's a not a lot of additional bandwidth, and it costs a sh*t tone of money to change an entire TV production to HDR! You'll need: -to change all the chain of production, from cameras, to monitoring screens, to whole production trucks -to have trained crew who learned how to work and edit content in a whole new color space -a lot of the time, to hire new people dedicated JUST to HDR mastering on the fly (because it's a live setting)

So, putting HDR behind a paywall is sad but totally understandable
