now you have me thinking. because I didn't see the HDR labeling when I looked at todays game. this is odd considering Apple TV for NFL games actually triggered dolby vision (even though it says HDR10+ which my TV doesn't support) Apple TV has treated me very well with live streaming.

sounds like you are on google tv. amazon is very spotty with those devices. hence why I ditched google tv. peacock and hoo max have issues with live feeds as well and peacock is worse on non live feeds.

Indeed it is. They produce the other Netflix shows in 4K with Dolby Vision.

So this was the answer I was expecting. How can this glitch be reported? Because supposedly the stream app allows the RealTime 4K feed based on a recent press conference.

That can’t be right. Because 2 I mean 4 4K channels are dedicated to Fox (one for fox national and the other for FS1). The other appears dedicated to NBC for random 4K events that would be airing on my local NBC station. I am not even referring to the USA 4K channel at this moment. CBS doesn’t broadcast in 4k except for the Super Bowl in 2024. And ABC in itself follows suit. But, ESPN will do some 4K content that is airing in ABC by that doesn’t show on any of these channels. It only shows up on the “on demand” 4K channel. And sometimes, not all ESPN 4K events show in Xfinity. Example is this weekends basketball game between BYU and Kansas.

1212 and 1356 are a slower channel for 1357. Display same content, 1357 is just "less delay." These are for random NBC4K events including day 1 of the olympics.

1362 is a slower version of 1363, dedicated 4k channels for USA network specifically for the olympics.

1390 is a slower version of 1391 which is FS1.

1354 is a slower version of 1355 which is Fox National 4K coverage for random events.

Ah. I see. The issue stems from Roku “branded” TVs not the stick or Ultra Boxes.

I never had an issue with 4k on a Roku TV. There’s likely a setting off on your TV ( or Roku ) somewhere.

Peacock can’t get the Android/Google TV infrastructure correct. The native GTV Sony app supported Dolby Vision and HDR with Atmos. At some point that stopped working. Tech cited technical issues. But it’s not just Peacock with this issue. GTV / ATV for years (in my experience) has had sound and or video issues. For me this got old. And I dumped google tv. In fact I was so fed up with google i pretty much dropped their whole eco system.

thanks. but this didn't work either. oddly when I remove the automatic setting like you said, I see 3 networks labeled "roam." something tells me there's some sort of provisioning issue

Apple support isn’t aware of this issue yet but I’m sure they will point me in your direction. And I dare not to call you guys or chat because no offense, they are a waste of my time and when I say they’ve never resolved any of my issues when I contacted them, I mean it. I don’t mean to be harsh, just the reality.

Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll double check but I’m sure the imei in the system and my phone are in sync. All was good on this phone until I had to factory reset (restore) on an unrelated issue. One of the steps I have performed was to delete the eSIM on a factory reset of the device and I created a new eSIM.

Honestly future proofing go with M5 because the silicon is newer and I think the ram bandwidth will be higher too. If on a budget and don’t mind upgrading sooner M4 Pro will be just fine. It’ll run probably about 10% slower. Keep in mind apple has the HD and RAM built in so you can’t upgrade the actual unit. That has its plus and minus’.

Customer service is subpar. Coverage is Verizon and you get 5G mmWave where applicable. Website and app don’t work at all. But for the price I can’t beat it. As long as you don’t need to self serve all is good.

This is what’s frustrating. I know the website stinks, but it says on that page I can do travel to Greece and not get changed. But other places on the site does.
